A panning shot I took in 2023. I don’t think I’ve attempted any since. A look back is inspiring me to try again. taken in Edmonton, Alberta by @ginger_snaaaps

Looking forward to the new year

Photo taken Sept 22,2025 Ontario.

This was on the little Ontario trip I took this summer, highlights were a wedding, visiting my girlfriends relatives and friends, blue jays game, cn tower, aquarium, and hockey hall of fame. Probably in that order of fave? The top 2 are definitely all the same level but unpopular opinion probably, however in my mind, hockey hall of fame at the bottom. Ask me why and I may share why in the future. Lol

It was a packed holiday with many sights seen. It reminded me how diverse of a county we live in.

I panic posted this before heading to a New Year’s party and this picture I think captured the thought of a new year ahead. While highlighting the beauty that Canada has that many may or may not get to see.

Can’t wait to write 2025 down instead of 2026. taken in Ontario, Canada by @ginger_snaaaps

Crisp evenings

February 22,2022 is when I took this photo. I was out looking for new view points and spots myself or others have not discovered yet. I don’t remember this exact day but this is one of the only pictures from that day and I’m sure it was quite cold. I look back realizing that time in my life i took a lot of time to spend wandering around and taking pictures, even though I still get out from time to time, its not as often as it once was. I do try to continue to bring my camera places when I have time, the space or the ability to not subject my camera to extreme cold for hours on end, continuing to enjoy taking pictures of things in my spare time.

As this time of year brings in reflections on many levels, I decided to again pull a picture from my many I have saved and waiting to be posted to reduce my Lightroom capacity. I always think that i need to take more pictures however I really need to share more pictures that I have saved and intend on sharing. Maybe one day even sorting through them and saving to a better source.

’m sure this wont get much attention as everyone is addicted to reels now and gone are the sharing pictures days. Long gone, you just gotta remember you do it as a fun hobby. To not get all worked up you are not a major influencer with a couple million followers, but just sharing things you enjoy. Sometimes I type essays out like this and think why share it but days like today I think why not, someone might read it all and enjoy it. Plus it filled up one of my evenings that I didn’t want to sit and watch a show, instead I stared at a screen typing so who knows which is better.

For now, no idea when ill post next, what the picture will be, if it will be new or old, but once I do post I think ill write another essay, cause why not. I might get brave and explain my change to geotagging which I feel is a hot topic with people on social media. #generalgeotagging Maybe see ya soon, maybe see ya never. 🍻 taken in Alberta by @ginger_snaaaps

Busy working away. I go outside to my truck and I see this so I grab my camera, which I manage to have with me through a lens on track on the tripod and proceed to take these pictures dust on the lens and all. No heavy editing here. Many people wonder how the northern lights actually are to see in person. I’ll be honest they’re not as vibrant as a camera can get or a lot of the pictures you see online. But I would best describe it as when you take a wax crayon and you do only one pass of a colour you can see the colour there but it’s not as if you sat there for five minutes with the crayon in the same spot.

Also, from anyone asking that shop is red, but it also had my tail lights lighting up the side so that’s why it looks extra red so don’t say I edited the photos to show only red.

5%

That’s about all of the ocean we have explored in detail through observation and precise scientific study, with over 80% of the ocean being a mystery. This is just a fact I searched after looking at this picture, however I’ll be sure to spew it out at parties at awkward times.

This is a photo I took and thought to myself as soon as I took it, this is gonna be awesome. I really enjoyed the colours and how the light came through the building almost showing the light still managing to come through even with all the blockages.
