Feeling extremely proud/emotional/grateful/hopeful today. Little Cathy couldn’t have even dreamed up the life I’m currently living. Little Cathy didn’t know finding a loving supportive hardworking husband, having children, owning a home, owning her own business were even slight possibilities for her life.
Part of Chris & I’s retirement plan has been to own a few houses & rent them out. Today that plan got a little more real as we closed on our second home! Our current home will become a rental soon. Little Cathy didn’t have much hope for her future. Adult Cathy is confident the best is yet to come.

Embarrassing/vunerable post…

3ish years ago I stepped on the scale & it read 238 lbs. I hated the way I looked & felt. I hated how hard it was to walk up a single flight of stairs. I hated the way every piece of clothing fit me. I hated how tired I felt all the time.

I made a goal to lose 50 lbs & I was able to achieve that within a year’s time through diet changes & regular exercise (walking & lifting weights).

Fast forward 2 years, while I haven’t gained any of the weight back, I have been slacking on my fitness & nutrition goals.

Why am I posting this? Because I know myself enough to know I need accountability & now that I put this out there I will be even more embarrassed if I don’t stick to it.

I would love to lose another 20-30 lbs between now and the end of 2026 so here is the starting point.

I plan to walk at least 2 miles on the treadmill or outside and/or lift weights a minimum of four times per week.

Also, if you see me posting food related things in addition to reselling you know why. 😂 Here’s what I ate today (shoutout Goodwill bins for the plates!)

As of right now I don’t plan on following any specific diet. I plan to drink lots of water & eat mostly whole/minimally processed foods. If I do eat out I will try to pick a higher protein/lower calorie option.

If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading & sorry for the feet pics. 🙈😂

Stopped by @savourclothing for some shopping & treated myself to a new to me Aviator Nation hoodie!

These were my two faves. Guess which one I ended up buying?

If you’re local to Colorado Springs & love Aviator Nation, Savour Clothing has a bunch more coming next week!

They’ll be showing them first on Instagram Live next Thursday (10/1) at 9am MST!
