Happy national ice cream day! 🍦❤️

Spending my day eating ice cream instead of wearing it (although chances of it dripping on my clothes is high), but looking forward to bringing this beast out of the closet again soon.

Enjoy my favorite holiday! 🤗

👽✨🚘 Headliner Highlight 🚘✨👽

Gather round, folks - step right up!! We have a real treat for you! She's traveled all across this great glove and is making her way to Albuquerque to grace the illustrious @kimotheatre stage for one night only - none other than the reigning Queen of Burlesque herself - GIN MINSKY

Gin Minsky is an award-winning, internationally renowned tap dancer, burlesque performer, sword swallower, and fire performer whose work blends Old Hollywood glamour with breathtaking feats of sideshow skill. For over 18 years, she has captivated audiences around the world with performances that are equal parts elegance, musicality, and daring spectacle.

A celebrated figure in the international burlesque community, Gin has been an invited performer at the Burlesque Hall of Fame @burlesquehall in Las Vegas seven times. In 2017, she received an award for Most Classic, and in 2026 she was crowned Queen of Burlesque, one of the highest honors in the art form.

Hailing from New York City, Gin has headlined festivals, theaters, and cabaret stages across the globe. Known for her technique and commanding stage presence, she fuses classic burlesque, refined tap dance, and the ancient art of sword swallowing into performances unlike anything else on today's stages.

Her remarkable shows have graced some of the world's most prestigious stages - and now she's coming to #NMBF2027

✨Apps are open through the end of October - tickets will be available early December✨ Details at nmbfproductions.com

Just a little dancing from a couple of weeks back at @redpavilionbk.

I've been so busy this last month that I've been letting my social media fall into the weeds. I can say that I will be better about it, but I know that I won't. 😆

I'm better in person, anyways. Catch me back at @redpavilionbk this Saturday for another round of Lust Caution. ✨ taken in Red Pavilion Brooklyn by @ginminsky

I'm back! After a week away in Paris, I'm back Stateside and hitting the ground running.

Thursday and Friday evening catch me in Philly for @burlesquenbeyond festival. I'll also be teaching a workshop with @philadelphiaburlesqueacademy Thursday afternoon.
And Sunday I'm back at my favorite speakeasy @bathtubginnyc.

And somehow cramming a little bit of work at the opera in between. (Cosi Fan Tutte opens tonight!)

Wish me and my jetlag luck. 😅

Happy Back to School week for all of those who celebrate.

I'm not in academia anymore (thankfully), but September always marks the beginning of busy season, so it feels very similar.

While I'm mostly living in the basement of the Met right now, I'll still be bouncing all over the city in the evenings, so check me stories or my calendar at ginminsky DOT com if you're curious about where to catch me and this adolescent costume of mine. taken in New York, New York by @ginminsky

Always a special treat when I get to be in front of @samurdangphotography 's lens. I mean, he juggles, does magic, acts, clowns, knits and takes a killer photo. What can't he do?

Thanks @bathtubginnyc for letting us have our way with the Mafia Table. 😘

Imagine seeing a sword glow through someone's throat and still thinking sword swallowing is fake?

For decades this was performed by artists using neon tubes. William G. Knoll (aka Prince Neon) is reputed to be the first person to utilize one in the 1930s - Mimi Garneau the first woman. Fortunately, for my generation of sword swallowers, LED lights were invented, creating a much safer alternative than toxic gas encased in a glass tube. But there are still some, much braver than I, who still use them!

I was talking with a friend recently about the importance of not only having presence on stage, but also fostering those direct connections with the audience. You can be a highly skilled performer, but if you do not have charisma or create that rapport with those watching vou, the impact of the performance won't have that same lasting impression.

I have seen the clown talked about for much longer than the acrobat. Strong performance is more than iust the technical skills.

What have vou seen on stage that has left a lasting impression?

One more round of snaps from my shoot with my Duchess @peekaboopointe at @duaneparknyc. So happy to be able to share this experience with this NYC (well now Milwaukee!) icon and Duane Park sister. 💖

Apologies for sullying the stunning photos by @theikphoto with a dirty IG crop!

And catch me back performing at Duane Park tonight and tomorrow! ⚔️💖
