Hawaiian Monk Seal 🦭
Such an honor to see the Monk Seal in Kauai. 🌴 Huge shoutout to the volunteers and community who watch out for these endangered species. Luckily I did not see one in the water while snorkeling 🤿 😂 They are huge!
➡️Respect any roped off areas or signage that indicate the presence of a monk seal on the beach. When observing resting monk seals, follow the “rule of thumb” to ensure you’re at least 50 feet away.⬅️

Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles 🐢 🤿
What a blessing to watch the sea turtles swimming underwater. They are so graceful, especially weighing up to 400lbs. We have viewed them at every beach here in #kauai.
I could watch them bask on the beach all day long. I think the most at one time on the sand has been 11-12?

Discover Anacortes, WA 🔸

📍Anacortes, Washington

Anacortes, a quaint island city on Fidalgo Island, offers a mix of outdoor adventures and small-town charm. Explore the scenic trails, go kayaking or whale watching, and enjoy the local cuisine in the vibrant downtown area.

Was very excited to see a deer on the beach 🦌🐚 , and spotted two Black Oystercatcher’s on nests.
The Black Oystercatcher is a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service “Species of Concern” completely dependent on marine shorelines. The only other times I saw these birds was in San Pedro , Ca , and then it was only two or so.
