Through every high and every low i have always had my team. I honestly dont know if i would have made it this far without them. They are eveything to me and have always supported me no matter what. They have seen every side of me and i have seen every side of them. Through every rough practice we have one thing that is always the same and that is each other. We always get through it because we are supporting each other no matter what and we get through that together. There hasn’t only been lows though, there have been so many more amazing memories and highs that I have had with them. You will never find a bond quite like the one you make with your teamates. Nothing could ever prepare me for the time i dont see these girls everyday. Dancing with the same people for over 10 years doesn’t make them just my teammates that makes them my family. by @ginnyhutton

Hi, my name is Ginny Hutton. I’ve been a student at Red River High School since 2020 and will be graduating with the class of 2024. Throughout my time here I’ve been involved with every single musical production and choir ensemble I’ve been able to participate in. Mr. Barta and Mr. Hovey have worked with me and my crazy busy schedule since I was 14 allowing me to have voice lessons, audition for honor choirs and be in productions that have come to be some of my favorite and most defining memories. Their passion for the arts is inspirational and has allowed me to go into performance myself. Though I’m undecided as to which college I will be attending yet, I have gotten to audition for performing arts schools all the way from Los Angeles, California to Ann Arbor, Michigan to New York City. This is all because of the letters of recommendation, free pieces of advice, and continuous support I didn’t even need to ask for. I can’t imagine what Red River would be like without either of these wonderful men, and that is why I feel I need to stand up for them now.
Next year, my brother Wyatt Hutton will be a freshman at red river high school. Wyatt has diagnosed autism and OCD. In the past, this has prevented him from excelling in a “normal” school curriculum. At the moment, he is a student at Schroeder Middle School with the amazing choir teacher Mrs. Dunigan who is a role model for both of us. Before Wyatt joined her choir in the 7th grade, he almost didn’t pass the 6th. He struggled to focus and stay on task in school, and I think a big part of this is that he had nowhere to truly express himself. After joining choir in the 7th grade, Wyatt has been a straight “A” student and a wonderful musician. I admire his talent and love singing with him when I have the chance. A large part of this I believe is due to the amazing music educators we have in the district right now and the one-on -one attention they are able to give each and every student because of the availability of lessons.
Wyatt is a bright kid, and in order for him and others to grow and develop as I had the chance to, I think a different decision needs to be reached. taken in Mark Sanford Education Center by @ginnyhutton
