Once I have more free time I plan to make another masquerade, something a bit more adaptable and with lighter material. Want an excuse to bust out the sewing machine again I don’t want to lose all I’d learned from last year.

This is a buffer post

One of my MA projects I realised I never shared outside of my portfolio. Inspired by some of the works found in the BCU archives, especially posters designed to promote a unified British empire, it got me thinking about the phrase “The role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistible” coined by Toni Cade Bambara. Many steps later (better explored in my portfolio) I landed on developing a pamphlet, a pamphlet for a unified Nigerian coalition that stood against the neocolonial powers currently wreaking havoc to severe degrees on out country and many others. I of-course see this and make this from a point of distance and privilege now living in diaspora from my home, I will build on this in the future, but a project like this is not built in isolation.

It felt fit sharing it today.

On the 10th of April @sofreakinpresh and I(@gio.earth ) put together something cozy and a lil experimental at the @asylum_artist_quarter.

Many of the lovely shots captured by @marielpauline

A back and forth conversation between dj and draughtsman. Our first run at it in the books and I say it was a nice lovely success. Cosy, participants enjoyed lovely music and went home with one of a kind art pieces. Theres so much more we can do together and I am excited for it. Watch this space or reach out if you’d like to join us.

Another Train sketch.
This character returns again, I don’t know who they are yet but my mind has ingested so much manga and anime over the years that I have given them a power set. Maybe if I draw them again they’ll receive a name too
