FALLING, PART 2

I became nothing, one day at a time. I watched myself become smaller and smaller, losing myself while nobody could see it. I stopped fighting the feeling of becoming nothing, because there was a time when even disappearing felt easier than staying. I was drowning in a place nobody could see, sinking until the surface felt like another world. I disappeared while still being there, and the worst part was watching it happen from the inside. I didn’t break; I slowly wore away. Nothing happened all at once. I just became less. I lost myself long before I realized I was lost, becoming numb enough to watch myself disappear. The more I suffered, the less I felt like a person, until I was slowly turning into someone I couldn’t save. by @giordanzzzz

The fear of finding comfort in your own melancholy.

Eyes cast down.

A hunched back.

Heavy breathing.

A light step.

“I’m hurting, but somehow, I almost find comfort in it.”

That’s the trap.

A trap that slowly leads you into complete resignation.

Don’t seek comfort in your pain.

Seek it in a friend, a partner, a family member.

Otherwise, you risk becoming a slave to your own suffering.

These are only temporary problems.

Sooner or later, things will get better.
