Now in the spotlight, Giovani Cadet!

Giovani is an actor, dancer, singer, director, and artist from a town he is sure you have never heard of: Mansfield, Massachusetts. He is a first-generation American, brought to you by two loving Haitian parents. Giovani has always found comfort in the art that lives on a stage. His confidence lies in his ability to adapt and grow. He is consistently evolving and doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon :)

Blessed with an inviting smile and fishy cheekbones, Giovani can be/has been described as a “wild horse” with “driven and boundless energy.” He takes pride in the meaningful relationships he has built with his classmates and professors at Wagner; and looks forward to many more years of collaboration and community!

So far, Giovani has made appearances in several productions with WCT. His favorites are Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Angel in Rent, and soon Daryl in Bright Star! Additionally, he got to perform in the ensemble in shows like The Prom, Pippin, Me & My Girl, and, how can we forget Wickersham #2 in Seussical!

He is a natural born leader who has had the opportunity to serve as AD for our production of City of Angels and develop/direct a cabaret in honor of our school’s BIPOC performers! This was through Wagner’s Completely Student-Run Productions, where he serves as the e-board’s DEIA Chair.

Hmm.. what else.. OH! He loves video games, cartoons, waacking/vogue, making music, the outdoors, bike riding, to learn, to sing, to dance, to live, and duh.. the theater!

This art form means so much to Giovani. He and his friends can’t wait to share their hard work with you :)

By far the hardest thing I have ever done. But i would give anything to do it all over again.

Angel and this production have imprinted on my soul and changed me in ways I never expected. The community and home we built together was unlike anything I have ever been apart of. I am so so so grateful and proud to be able to claim such a beautiful show I got to put on with my best friends :)
