All about community and leftfield club energy; our artist picks for May range from Asian-Swiss radio platforms to Naarm’s cross-cultural dancefloors, tapping into Yokohama’s garage momentum and Jakarta’s heavier experimental edges.

@ychan_._ | Switzerland

Ychan’s work moves between music, research and community-building. Her master’s thesis explored the social and professional integration of Vietnamese refugees in Switzerland, while her Transition Radio residency spotlights second and third-generation Asian-Swiss artists.

@giralphe | Australia

Giralphe is a Naarm-based DJ, producer and curator behind CLUBHAUS, a community-driven platform connecting leftfield Asian dance music with Latin rhythms and cross-cultural club sounds.

@wadakamui | Japan

Yokohama-based DJ and producer Kamui Wada may have only stepped into garage last year, but he is already moving with serious pace. With a support slot for Osmosis Jones in Tokyo later this year, his sound is quickly finding its footing.

@logiclost | Indonesia

Logic Lost is the experimental electronic project of Jakarta-based musician Dylan Amirio. Across more than a decade, he has carved out a sound where techno, drone, noise and metal blur into something darker, heavier and deeply textural.

For one night only, Haus of Ralph takes the controls from open to close, offering a rare glimpse into the sounds, influences, and instincts that have shaped her journey as a DJ, producer, and curator.

Known for her forward-facing approach to club music, Haus of Ralph has built a distinct sound rooted in leftfield Asian dance music, Latin Rhythms, global club sounds, and the unexpected moments that exist between genres. Her sets are guided less by rules and more by feeling—balancing tension and release, chaos and tenderness, with an unwavering commitment to the dancefloor.

This night is a tribute to the city, the nightlife communities that continue to shape it, and the dancers who have been there every step of the way. Alongside a handful of special guests-with some familiar faces and a few surprises still to be revealed - Haus of Ralph invites you into her world for a night that celebrates connection, collective joy, and the sounds that have helped define QTBIPOC dancefloors in Naarm and beyond.

Manila → Saigon → Naarm ✈️

From playing the debut of @babyoliv62 @tenderjuicyclub at Apotheka in Manila, to spending time in one of my favourite cities, Saigon, then flying straight into Naarm the day of OPENHAUS.

Last weekend we threw our biggest @clubhaus._ ever - 1200 beautiful baddies celebrating Asian dance music together ❤️ IT REALLY DOES TAKES A VILLAGE. Thank you to all of my family & friends, you know who you are!!

Moments like these remind me why I do what I do. For the community. For the love. For the people!

I moved here seven years ago and it hasn’t always been easy. But to witness so many spaces now being created by us, for us, and to see our communities thriving the way they are now. We went from searching for spaces to being spoiled with choice, and that growth is something I’ll never take for granted.

Seeing all of us on the dancefloor, connecting, celebrating, and showing up for each other means more than I can put into words. Thank you for being part of this journey 🫶
