My reading vibe summed up💕

📚✨QOTD- how would you sum up your reading taste?

About a year late to this trend but I had fun so does it really matter? by @girlandlibrary

Happy Halloween 🎃

QOTD - Gave you finished your Halloween tbr or are you extending the spooky season ? by @girlandlibrary

QOTD- Have you tried monster romance, what’s one of your favourites ?

Happy Orctober to all who celebrate 🎉

A Friday Flatlay featuring my favourite monster romance series EVER! The Orc Sworn series is top tier for me. I’ve taken the quiz and everything (I’m a Grisk thanks for asking). I read the series for the first time last year and I’ve already read some of the books multiple times, they’re that good! by @girlandlibrary

QOTD - do reading goals motivate you ?

Full transparency this is the best week I’ve had in a while mainly because I re-read the Hathaways series. I also upped my reading goal which I should’ve done months ago because the second I saw how far behind I was my brain was primed and ready to go. I know reading goals don’t work for some people but for me it really helps me prioritise reading in my day to day life. by @girlandlibrary

QOTD - Who is your favourite Lisa Kleypas hero?

With moments to spare she finally gets her Lisa Kleypas post out before Lisa Kleypas week ends. Though blame my procrastination on the fact that as soon as I started prepping this post I was compelled to reread The Hathaways series and who am to ignore my desires😅.

It was so hard to narrow it down to just 7 😭 though when you swipe through you will find that I have a very clear type 👀 by @girlandlibrary

A little autumnal Friday Flatlay 🍁

Hope everyone is staying safe in the storm ⛈️

What are you reading this weekend? I’m reading The Sweetest Fiend by Raven Kennedy and I’m really enjoying it so far! by @girlandlibrary

Mulan meets Helen of Troy in this YA fantasy book ✨

📚Inspired by Chinese folklore and the Chinese phrase ‘blushing beauty, troubled waters’ which is the idea that history blames women for the mistakes of men, in particular how beautiful women who lure men to their demise. 🔥

♥️ Here’s the blurb so you can decide if you want to add it to your tbr ( I really recommend you do it’s one of my favourite reads of 2026)

Two princes. One prophecy. A fate she cannot outrun.

The night Fei was born, a prophecy was made: she would one day become the Empress of All Empresses.

Torn from her family as a child and raised in the palace to one day marry the Crown Prince of the most powerful empire in the land, Fei has only ever known loneliness. When the opportunity arises to seize her own destiny for the first time in her life, Fei sets out to hunt a legendary tiger, knowing it might cost her everything. What she doesn’t expect is to fall under the mercy of Yexue, the beautiful runaway prince from a rival kingdom. Blessed by the night, harbouring a dangerous magic, and capable of commanding an army of deadly vampires, Yexue could be the key to Fei gaining more than just her freedom.

But to outrun destiny, Fei must spark a wave of events that will change the world as she knows it. Torn between two princes and plagued by nightmares of bloodshed, she finds that the stars might be more inescapable - and more irresistible - than she ever considered before . . . by @girlandlibrary

QOTD- what are your reading plans for the weekend?

I’m going to try and read Half City. I’ve heard so many good things about it and I want to read it before The Cursed City special edition goes on sale next week so I can decide wether I want a matching set 📚

I love this special edition though, I’m obsessed with the wings on the end papers, they’re so pretty 🥰 by @girlandlibrary

QOTD - What is the book you’re most excited to read this month 📚

I have decided to start locking my phone in a drawer to see if I can improve my concentration span and tackle the stacks of books that have been building up during the summer of the slump ( as I’m now affectionately calling it) wish me luck 🫡 by @girlandlibrary

QOTD- What is a dream you’re working towards.

Holding myself accountable even though every fibre of being yearns to go with the flow has been hard, but not as hard as scrapping 25000 words 😭 by @girlandlibrary

QOTD- What book has a first line that made you lock in 🔒

“The trees have to be tied down by sunset” is the first line of The Wolf and the Woodsman by Ava Reid and as soon as I read that I knew this book was going to have me by the throat until I finished it.
