#seniorsunday this week is a recap of the weekend. Your last high school FWSSR shoot was rainy, muddy, LONG, and fun! You swept stations that I thought you would struggle with and struggled with a presentation, which is usually a breeze. But isn’t that life! I love watching you smile when you succeed as much as I love witnessing you grow through your struggles. Congrats on your shoot and your scholarship! I’m so proud of you and can’t wait to be there for all of it. Love you. taken in Defender Outdoors Clay Sports Ranch by @girltakingaim

Today I had the privilege of speaking about the bill I submitted for Texas 4-H Congress at the Elected Officials Luncheon. While the creation of the bill was inspired by a deeply personal experience, the need for the bill is supported by facts and corrects historically inaccurate data collection. I look forward to seeing the process during my 4-H Congress involvement in Austin and the potential to make a difference. #girltakingaim #dreambig #texas4h #graysoncounty4h taken in Grayson County Courthouse by @girltakingaim

Day one is always a huge mental game, and pouring rain, gusty winds, and chilly temperatures definitely don’t make it any easier. You have to be able to push through it. This first day of competition was definitely a tough one, but I’m glad I got the chance to experience the worst of the weather so I can be prepared for whatever comes next. As the week goes on, I hope not only to play well, but also to stay mentally strong and persevere through any challenges that come my way. #archery #4H by @girltakingaim

Zaryiah will be attending 4-H Congress this July as a representative for Grayson County and District IV. As part of the process, the youth were required to write and submit a bill for consideration. Zaryiah’s bill relates to her experience at the DMV and calls for the inclusion of multiracial identification options on Texas driver’s license and identification card applications.
If you would like to support her, and any of the ladies above, please reach out to me. Each ticket receives 4 chances to win and all money raised goes to help cover the expenses of this amazing legislative experience in Austin.

It was her first time at the Junior Shoot-Out but the National Shooting Complex was a familiar location. We had a little bit of all the weather Texas offers. 🤣 What a great few days and we look forward to going back next year even stronger! taken in National Shooting Complex by @girltakingaim

This Thanksgiving I have so much to be thankful for. The people in my life, the challenges presented to me, and the opportunity to find my greatness. 4-H has taught me about being involved in my community, exploring the world at large, and (most importantly) myself. Finding my greatness hasn’t been about perfection but embracing all the perfectly imperfect moments that have led me to who I am and where I belong . . . and hopefully inspiring others to do the same. #graysontx4h #districtiv4h #girltakingaim #grateful #thankful by @girltakingaim
