here’s my entry for today’s linktober 10: deku

decided to do the prompt list from @art_of_jack this time. it was a hard choice between this and the great deku tree but i realized i already drew the tree so i might as well do this for today.

anyway hope yall love the vibe. majoras mask is one of my fav zelda game despite not having finished it.

Linktober 9

made an app to bring my paintings to life 🌸

i’m both an illustrator and a developer, and i always wanted my art to breathe, like those cozy looping wallpapers. procreate dreams felt limiting for what i wanted, so i built my own tool instead: Daydreams.

what it can do so far:
- puppet pins: bend and sway parts of the drawing
- 3D camera: auto parallax between layers + real depth blur
- wind, particles (falling petals, fireflies), light rays
- seamless loops, perfect for wallpapers

this one’s my Linktober day 9 piece, painted in procreate, animated in Daydreams.

it’s just for personal use for now… but if enough people are curious, maybe i’ll make a public version? let me know 👇

Inktober day 1: apple

hit an artblock on the simplest prompt lol. couldn’t think of anything so i just drew applin chilling on a stump in the forest 🌿 a bit calm compared to what i wanted, but it’s day 1, saving the dynamic stuff for later prompts 💪

leafeon in autumn 🍂

i’m still practicing nature scenes and figuring out my style, but i had fun building this warm, glowy forest around one of my favorite pokémon.

A little Ocarina of Time study of Link standing before the Great Deku Tree 🌳

I’ve been practicing values and depth, and trying to use light and shadow to make the scene feel bigger. I’m still learning, but I’m proud of how the composition and lighting came together.

The Great Deku Tree always felt ancient and mysterious to me. With the OoT remake announcement, I’ve been remembering that feeling of stepping into Hyrule all over again.

painted Kobe as a little style study. The fur was a real challenge, and I’m still figuring out what direction I want to take my work… but I learned a lot from this one.
