1. Computer weeps in reverence at all the data she has collected from you, and will continue to collect
2. Computer shows User how she can dance away her fears of climate change! Fun!
3. Computer goes absolutely sicko mode. Consuming everyone’s information feels really normal and awesome! by @gittelli

"Last Will" - Words and Music by me!

So lovely working with these amazing singers on a piece that is very close to my heart. Our rehearsals felt like a truly joyful and collaborative space and I love everything each one of you brought to this! It's about time the NEO festival has a vocal jazz ensemble, what should our group name be? by @gittelli

We caught Aria Gittelson during their run at @resonancecollectivela N.E.O. Voice Festival to chat about their piece, “apistophoria.” This composition uses neo-classical, pop and folk style elements to explore the fundamental nature of doubt, and embrace questioning, nuance and complication.

You can hear “apistophoria” and five other world premieres for strings and voice this Saturday at p h o r i a — an anthology of new works created and performed by trans and nonbinary musicians!

if not numbers I will miss you ✨🤖🫧

This June was so inspiring (and busy! And sleepy!) I wrote this show over the course of 2 years while being terrified of the rise of AI. I watched and read and researched and plunked away at my keyboard while it all happened in front of all of us. One day I hope it is completely irrelevant. I hope people catch a video of our glittery little operetta by accident and go “can you remember when we were scared of that?”. In that future we will have banned every AI data center, funded every artist and every school, rid the world of every billionaire. In that future I will still be writing glittery little operettas because I can’t shut up and I love to complain, but “Computer” will be long gone.

I hope I get to be a part of the Fringe festival again. All of the reviews and feedback were so necessary and special to receive from people whose art I deeply respect. I saw so much beautiful theater and feel ready to make some more myself. Thank you @hollywoodfringe

And of course, thank you @msmmmcg and @aidanmoravec - I love you both. Without you, this show would just be a bunch of sheet music PDF’s on my laptop. by @gittelli
