New from Lapsus Records: ‘Phenomena’ by @r010_lucas & @giuvene.

‘Phenomena’ finds Barcelona producer R-010 and Madrid-born vocalist Venerandi speaking what starts out as two different artistic languages; rhythm, space and electronic transformation meeting texture, breath and the expressive possibilities of the human voice, until, by the album’s final moments, that distinction quietly disappears.

Voice moves inside the music rather than sitting above it, dissolving into layers of synthesis, percussion and guitar, while echoes of trip hop, bass music, psychedelia and experimental electronics drift across the surface. Never as fixed styles, but as temporary states within a record that never stops moving.

💥 Out October 23rd!

A second taste of ‘Phenomena’, the upcoming album by @r010_lucas & @giuvene, is here.

‘La Notte’, the second single from ‘Phenomena’, reveals a darker, more elusive side of the record. A restrained low-end pulse and a self-propelling beat set a hypnotic foundation for Venerandi’s voice, which drifts through the track with an enigmatic presence: mysterious yet playful, subtle yet forceful.

It’s the point where the album’s experimental language becomes most immediate.

✨ ‘Phenomena’ is out October 23rd.
