Beneath it, leather and moss unfold with warmth and texture, blending with a hint of pink peppercorn for resonance and rhythm. The monster didn't stand a chance. But it put up a fight 💪 Four weeks, a whole volunteer team, and one very stubborn bathroom.⁣⁣Our Cuernavaca colleagues, with support from the Givaudan Foundation, took on the "Bathroom Monster" — a nickname the local primary school had given their long-broken-down facilities — and turned it into a clean, safe, welcoming space for 400 children.⁣⁣The monster? Gone. Every fragment carries the memory of a whole existence.Created for Casa Mundo Particular 2026, In Memoriam is an immersive olfactive landscape inspired by the Jacarandá-da-Bahia, a native Brazilian tree driven to the brink of extinction by the excessive extraction of its precious wood.Rather than recreating the scent of the wood, the installation evokes the memory of the living tree and the ecosystem around it: wet earth, fallen leaves, the breath of the forest floor. Noble woods reveal its enduring presence, while patchouli and vetiver recall moss and rising moisture from the soil.
