This is a big one, GMAP fam. We need to raise $4,000

Our shelter’s annual land rent is due, and we need your help securing our dogs’ home for another year.

This space has given hundreds of dogs somewhere to feel safe, heal and learn to trust again. For many of them, it was the first place they could sleep without fear, play freely and know they would always be cared for❤️

Between food, medical bills, salaries and their daily care, we simply cannot cover the rent alone.

Deedee got adopted in France❤️

And look at her! She’s so loved, so happy, so comfortable😍 She’s exactly where she was meant to end up!

This is the part we wait for🥹

Thank you, GMAP fam, for following Deedee’s journey and rooting for her from the beginning. And a huge thank you to Deedee’s family for choosing her and giving her the life we always wanted for her. And of course the incredible @spamarseilleprovence for finding our dogs the most amazing homes!

Some dogs would have been safer if they’d never been “rescued.”

That should be difficult to read. It’s even harder to accept that a place meant to protect them can become another source of suffering.

At Give Me A Paw, we believe every shelter should be held accountable for the animals in its care. Ours included.

We can’t let “at least they’re off the street” become an excuse for what happens to them afterwards.

Please share this post. An animal’s suffering shouldn’t become easier to ignore just because it happens behind a shelter’s doors.

We take “someone should do something” very personally❤️

Blue 2 spent his entire life chained to this tree until we rescued him in the middle of a storm. He’s now living his best life at the shelter with us❤️

Baby spent four years chained on a roof, alone, and when she first came to us, she didn’t really understand what we were doing when we tried to pet her🥺 She wasn’t used to that kind of attention.

We kept petting her and cuddling her, and now she runs straight to us for hugs, leans in for cuddles and happily stays beside us for as long as we’ll keep petting her❤️

Here’s what you should know about Baby⬇️

❤️Personality: She’s a really calm, gentle girl who loves being close to you. She will sit next to you, cuddle, and enjoy whatever attention you are willing to give her. She’s also incredibly smart and really listens. We’ve been practicing “sit” and some basic obedience, and she is learning quickly!

🎾What she loves: She’s obsessed with playing fetch. Throw her the ball and she’ll bring it right back, ready to do it all over again, and she could keep going for hours! She also loves her food, will do almost anything for treats, and enjoys going on walks. She walks nicely on a leash too.

🐕 With other dogs: She does well with other dogs. We introduced her to Chief, the biggest dog at the shelter, and they’re now best friends🥹

🏡Best home: A home where she will have company and be included in everyday life, with someone who enjoys walks, outdoor activities, and having a very cuddly girl beside them. She spent years alone, and we want the rest of her life to be full of the affection she now asks us for every day.

Baby is a 4 year old Rottweiler.

UPDATE: surgery done ✅ Puggouly is doing amazing❤️

We can never be ready for this💔

Most of you probably know our one and only Puggle. Our strong boy has been fighting cancer for three years.

Our promise has always been to keep him comfortable, surround him with love, and let him go peacefully when he tells us he is tired.

But he isn’t tired yet❤️‍🩹

Puggle has suffered an unexpected setback and now needs emergency surgery.

We refuse to give up on a dog who has never given up on life. But we urgently need your help to cover his surgery and give our boy the chance to keep fighting.

❗️His surgery, treatment, and hospital stay will cost $905.

If 91 people who love Puggle donate just $10 each, we can cover it.

Just a tiny baby soaking under the rain, scared, starving, and infested with fleas and ticks💔

He’s safe at our shelter now and will be going for a checkup on Monday❤️‍🩹
