As if everyone hasn't had enough of football, here are some selects from a recent cover story for @positivenewsuk on the grassroots game. I spent an evening with @athenlay_women_fc as they practiced.

I never really shoot sports so this was a fun challenge, I also ended up leaning more into the human side of what was going on and the connection between all the players. What I found was a very funny, friendly bunch of players that lift each other up and bring everyone into the game.

The Pits is a print-only zine for London’s park tennis players, celebrating the ups and downs of public courts. From articles on what park players wear to a guide on how to shake hands at the net, it is a joyful look at a niche sports community.

The project was a collaborative effort, with art direction by @giveupart, a colourful front cover illustration by @nuta_ko and artwork by Tom Guilmard and Chloe Scott-Moncrief. Creator Hilary Armstrong writes, “Our city’s courts are the pits of the world but they’re ours, they’re what we’ve got, and they make us happy.” 🎾

The latest @fortress.ldn show saw legendary graphic designer @giveupart exclusively mixing records that he designed the covers for and then invited @0ffaxis who came through with a bunch of forthcoming coming Fortress music and exclusive dubs

Thanks to @secret7s for inviting us to take part again as they returned this year, in aid of @warchilduk

Our sleeve was for @TheSpecials’ track ‘We Sell Hope’.

Playing with the visual language of sale and price stickers - and the 2-Tone colour palette - we designed a batch of custom stickers for the sleeve, with a surprise sticker sheet included inside (Stickers printed by the ace @stickerwizard )

F37 + GUA: We were asked by F37 to design a poster to promote their new typeface - ‘F37 Blanka’. So we decided to give some of the lesser-used glyphs a spin.

Posters are available to buy from the F37 site - A1 (594 × 841mm), beautifully screen printed by @harvey_lloyd_screens in metallic silver (PMS 877) onto @gfsmithpapers Heaven 42 Soft (240gsm).

With other posters from: Collins, Dazzle Studio, Farrow, Hey Studio, Hugh Miller, KurppaHosk, Made Thought, Nomad, North, Only Studio, Paul Belford, Pentagram, Snask, Wolff Olins.

Today we are thinking of our wonderful friend Shaun, and his loved ones, as September 15th marks five years since we lost him.

We also wanted to announce that, together with a bunch of his friends and family, The Shaun Bloodworth Archive has been created to celebrate his life and work.

Currently it’s just a holding site - shaunbloodwortharchive.com - but a full archive website is currently under construction.
