This video sums up why we do what we do ... from the bottom of our hearts for the people of Bali... giving back to you with the little we have... to those who are hardest hit as a ripple effect of Covid-19: loss of income and no food to feed their families 💗 by @givingbacktobali

One of the 2 communities where we delivered 150 food packets today. .
A humble community in Kesiman, Kertalangu, just outside Sanur... We brought food packets for 22 families, most of whom are unskilled laborers from Java and some from Lombok who are stuck here without any jobs. Others can still manage to get a job a few days a month and we’re looking at how we can help them very soon as it’s not much earning at all. We are still collecting more information. .
Thank you Indah Crysa Shope for taking the initiative to help your neighbours! Most of them don’t have any internet connection and no knowledge of how to get help. And thank you for helping us help the people closest to you. May your efforts will always be fruitful. 🙏🏽 .
In the food packet this week we pack 5 kg of rice, cooking oil, some eggs, sardines in a can, a bar of soap, salted fish, a pouch of dish detergent and some veggies. This costs about $7.5 AUD or $5 USD and can last up to a week for a family of 3-4. .
A heartfelt thank you for all of your support! Please know that the little you have been and are able to donate means a lot to these families in these hard times. 🌈

What a busy week it has been! This is what goes behind the scene...
.
On Wednesday our treasurer and shopping queen Sarasota Tomasoa planned this week’s menu and made the orders to our local suppliers. Yay to giving business to the locals! .
On Friday we packed food packages for 245 families - that’s 550-600 people to have enough meals for the week. Kara Forsyth Ainaa Haminata Surya Bal Claudia Chicca have developed a great packing system - very efficient and fun! .
On Saturday we handed over half of the packages to 2 communities in Kuta. .
On Sunday at Easytees we distributed the other half of the packages to the individuals and families who reached out to us on social-media. .
It hasn’t been easy: we receive around 500 messages a week in our WA and Facebook Helplines and we try to go through every single message. .
Two of our team members Yulia Sulaymanova and Joyce Oei spent hours and hours responding to the messages, listing the information, going through hundreds of names and make notes of their situations. Some of the messages are heartbreaking 💔 and we wish to help everyone, but due to limited funds we’ve had to make tough decisions and prioritize those who need help the most. .
The hard work is all paid off, though, knowing these 600 people have food for the week. 💗💗💗
.
Thank you so much to all of you! For your support and for sharing this work. We wish to continue to help as much as we can so please stay tuned to this page. 🙏🏽 by @givingbacktobali

Today we visited a community in Tuban (the area near the airport) who have been without any income for 2 months.
We got a call to help 8 families with food supplies (sembako) but today we learned that there are 150 families in the community in total and they all need help.
We already have a waitlist of 200+ families but we’ll try our best to help them as soon as we can.
It was humbling to see how grateful they were with the little help we could offer to share among themselves. 💗

A bag of groceries with basic food supplies costs $7 AUD or $5 USD and is enough for a family of 4 for up to a week. A little donation will help provide food on the table during this difficult time. ✨
