Hellooooo another one by @giwmusic and me!! I‘m imitating some situation with a blocked line, some questions and a telephone and exploring the consonant d and Pablo is doing some valve pops, tongue snaps & flops 👻 You find the full video on our YouTube channels or in the link in my bio. by @giwmusic
You can hear @giwmusic doing some white noise, half valve and circular breathing with piccolo trumpet and me with restricted (sometimes inhale) breathing with different filters, white noise and some glottal on-sets in this improvisation we recorded in July. We met up and experimented with what it would sound like to change our setup. So far, our sound has usually involved both of us working with several effects, sometimes with quite a lot of intensity and strong textures. But this time, I felt much more like singing with just my microphone, while Pablo wanted to bring his piccolo trumpet and only a handful of effects, since he’s been exploring that a lot lately. Playing without effects makes me want to imitate Pablo even more, and I find myself drawn toward sounding more similar in terms of texture, because the voice and the trumpet can be remarkably similar in many ways. You find the complete version on YouTube. Link in Bio. I’m really happy that we tried something different, and we’ll be sharing some snippets over the next few weeks. by @giwmusic

after recording duo improvisations in bern together, @lilichin1111 said "play a solo! I'll film you" and that's how this video happened. I'm always searching for new ways to bring more polyphonic and percussive elements to my trumpet playing, as well as to include movement in space and on surfaces. This clip combines all 3 aspects. thanks @lilichin1111 📷 #trumpet #improvisation #performance #extendedtechniques #experimental by @giwmusic
