GIZZMOIX started in the smallest way possible - late nights in a bedroom, experimenting with 8-bit sounds and pushing them onto Game Boy cartridges just to see what would happen.It was raw, curious, and completely driven by passion rather than plans. Those early releases felt more like secret artifacts than products, shared among a small circle who understood the charm of lo-fi limits and playful experimentation.Nin-do and music have always played a huge part in my life - from playing Mario Party with cousins you rarely see anymore to eventually booking your own punk shows. So why not combine both passions?To celebrate five years of Gizzmoix Records, I’m releasing six projects by bands that massively impacted my life - flashed, cut, and assembled by hand onto custom Nin-do DS cartridges. Each album comes with its own little story, a snapshot of a memory, a feeling, or a time that stuck with me.Go rock the new GIZZMOIX “I ONLY LISTEN TO EMO ON DS” shirt!!!I don’t really want to spell out what these records and the people behind them mean to me. Some are people I met at shows, some are the reason this label exists at all, and some are legends I held onto when my first real heartbreak hit at sixteen. That meaning is mine, but what matters more is what they become to you!At the end of the day, I’m just one guy shipping records, contacting bands, and doing the occasional graphic design. I hope you take these releases, sit with them, and make your own memories. It’s done! Today we can finally present our first release (ever)! Over the last few months we took it upon ourselves to record our first demo completely on our own. After months of despairing over different recording settings, DAWs and a very useful but also very annoying ventilation system in our rehearsal space, we are finally done! Wonderfully mixed and mastered by @derfeedbacker and perfected with a beautiful design by @gee_kwamee we are incredibly proud to present the „midwest demo“. Listen to it on Bandcamp, Tidal, YouTube, Spotify or Apple Music - whichever suits you best - and drop us a line whether you like it or hate it with a passion. We are extremely thankful to everyone who made this possible, happy to finally have it out , exhausted from the long journey and can’t wait to do it again! After 460 days as a band, we are finally excited to release our first collection of words, feelings, and thoughts in musical form. It is titled "a false warmth" and features the best songs we’ve written so far. 🐸Available for streaming june 12th🐸Physicals are available at shows now and will be later available world wide through @bsdj_label (Japan), @vs_self (USA), @villusrecords_ (China), @fragilerecs (UK) and @gizzmoix (EU) We’re also thrilled to have played so many greatspaces - both at home and abroad during our time together (huge shoutout to everyone for booking us and your kind hospitality). willy fog - discography man, i sure love the german emo revival movement...based in Dortmund, these guys were definitely considered part the spearhead of the whole scene here before they broke up in 2015.I was actually annoying enough to get them to do a reunion in 2024 and play THOSE DAYS ARE GONE FEST. Hopefully playing more shows soon! we're bringing their WHOLE discography on cassette tape, packaged lovely between a riso-printed J-card and premium obi-strip.Pre-oders are up now!limited to /50 tapes by @gizzmoix

a whole string of dialogues🧶🗣Emo revival didn't just happen in the US.A good example is this killer record from düren/cologne, Germany released 2013. Beautiful overlayed vocals, twinkly riffs and the occasional scream. A true hidden gem!This reissue is limited to 100 copies only. For the first and probably only time on vinyl ever! by @gizzmoix
