Four short years were all we were given,
yet how full those years were because of you.
Sadie—small in size, boundless in spirit—
you moved through this world with nose to the wind
and joy written into every step.

You loved the woods the way some love the sea.
Leaves were your maps, scents your stories,
every rustle an invitation.
To hunt was not just instinct for you—
it was wonder, purpose, and freedom stitched together.

On January 13th, you left us doing what you loved most:
exploring, searching, alive in the moment.
There is a strange mercy in that—
that your last moments were filled with excitement,
curiosity, and the wild happiness that defined you.

Now the woods are quieter.
The trails feel longer.
We still look for you without thinking,
expecting the flash of white tail,
the pause, the glance back—are you coming?

You were so deeply loved, Sadie.
Not for the years you lived,
but for the life you packed into them.
You were family, companion, heartbeat.
And though your paws no longer touch the earth,
your spirit runs free—
forever hunting, forever exploring,
forever ours.

***FOUND INFINITI KEY FOB***

Tuesday February 11th I found an Infiniti Key fob on the Hutton Brickyard Trail / Sojourn Truth Park / Empire Trail section in Kingston NY. If it’s yours send me a PM and I’ll mail it to you. Please share to spread the word. These key fobs are expensive to replace. Thanks Gerry by @gjklt

I remember the day I skied with Franz Klammer and Ron Allred on closed bowls at Telluride Colorado in the early 90’s. Franz was the gold medalist at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, winning the downhill at Patscherkofel by a margin of 0.33 seconds with a time of 1:45.73. Ron purchased Telluride in 1978 and owned it for many years till 2004. One of the great memories I have from traveling to over 100 US, Canadian and European ski resorts a year for 23 years. by @gjklt
