#cosmicrenaissance è felice di dare il benvenuto a Idris Ackamoor per il nuovo disco che verrà.Pioniere dell’Afrofuturismo e fondatore degli The Pyramids nei primi anni ’70, ha contribuito a spostare il jazz verso una dimensione aperta, senza tempo, dove suono e visione si incontrano.A partire da una mia bozza, Idris ha costruito un vero viaggio sonoro e narrativo, trasformandolo in qualcosa di vivo, intenso e necessario. Un racconto che attraversa memoria e visione, e che si chiude con una frase che mi resta addosso: “and all will be made well”.Welcome Idris, a visionary musician and a pioneer of Afrofuturism, and founder of The Pyramids in the early ’70s.Starting from my draft, he turned it into a real sound and story journey, making it alive, strong, and meaningful. Αυτή είναι η πρόσφορη και ξεκάθαρη λέξη για τον Ιταλό τρομπονίστα @gl.petrella που ξεκίνησε να ξεφυσά το τρομπόνι του ήδη από τα μέσα της δεκαετίας του ’90, πριν γίνει ο ίδιος leader από τις αρχές των zeroes, με μερικές σπουδαίες καταγραφές στους καταλόγους της ECM, Ninja Tune και της Blue Note. Είτε στο πλευρό των Nicola Conte, Carla Bley και Enrico Rava, είτε ακόμη-ακόμη μπαίνοντας στα βαθιά techno και club υπόγεια με καλλιτέχνες εκτός jazz όπως οι Ricardo Villalobos και Moritz von Oswald, ο Petrella αναζητά το οικουμενικό πέραν της φόρμας. From his first steps in the mid-90s, to leading his own bands in the early 2000s, to releasing records with iconic labels like ECM, Ninja Tune and Blue Note, Petrella has worked with legends like Nicola Conte, Carla Bley and Enrico Rava and just as easily collaborated with non-jazz artists like Ricardo Villalobos and Moritz von Oswald, descending deep into the underground world of techno and club music in constant search of universality beyond form.
