Harold and Maud helping control the šŸ”„ of the @nikesb @civilistberlin Dunk. And quenching any rumours of complete retirement. #microdudes by @glackster
I had been talking with @kustomflow (Tom) for nearly 4 years on bringing this to life, but our calendars never alignedā€¦.until this winter when I needed to go in for another surgery, which meant no cycling for a few months. Perfect timing to pass the Venge over. . It almost ended up being an AM90 Infrared colourway, but the colours on the F&F Parra were too good to deviate from. This is just wild, thanks Tom!! . What do you reckon @pietparra @nikesportswear @iamspecialized ? . 2nd last slide is the finger sketch I sent to Tom, for him to work his magic on. Bar tape is still weighing on my mind. Grey or red or red/white or pink? Iā€™ll just enjoy it as is for now. Bottle cages still to go on, but Iā€™m not allowed to ride it for another few weeks until I get the all clear from the surgeon. by @glackster
Leading you into a false sense of security with the first image. Mull(orca) wasnā€™t the best weather this time round, but still a beaut place to turn the legs. Be back next year again. Hereā€™s a wee selection of selfies. . Only been 15 months since I last posted on my feed, maybe Iā€™ll get back to sharing photographs. by @glackster
@endclothing & @stepney_workers_club took Harold & Maud and the @microdudes on a Predator and Prey safari with their new footwear capsule. So many small details in this 1.4m installation that I couldnā€™t make up my mind what images to share. The process ran from April till the end of May, requiring bespoke figures to be 3D printed and hand painting them all. Really nice to be able to share the images now. Thanks to all at @endclothing for bringing me in on this one, it was fun! šŸ¤ If youā€™re going to sprinkle little people on shoes to take some photographs, do them justice. #microdudes by @glackster
The Eala BhĆ n (White Swan) 2018 on pushed Tri-X šŸŽž I think most of us have felt like that wee boat at some time or another. Forgive the monologueā€¦..I rarely post any words of personal meaning on Social Media. However, since the šŸš“šŸ¼accident, this last year has been more painful, stressful and tougher than I imagined it would be (not only physically). Just when I would begin to make a little progress, Iā€™d need to go back into hospital for another procedure and I would be way back behind the starting blocks again, despondent and often emotional. I definitely downplayed the magnitude of the trauma in my head. I thought that would help me progress. Thanks to my amazing wife @xxhanmanxx, my family and my friends, I havenā€™t sunk and Iā€™m gradually finding it easier to be buoyant again. I still have a long way to go, both physically and mentally, but my metaphorical wheels are still spinning. Sometimes itā€™s a grind, but with help, they still turn. I know Iā€™m the type of person (like many) who says ā€˜Iā€™m okā€™ or ā€˜Iā€™m goodā€™, when I know Iā€™m not, so a genuine thank you to everyone that has comforted me, pushed me, checked in with me, shouted at me, took the p*ss out of me, laughed and cried with me. ā¤ļø if you read this far, spandex stories soon. I promise. by @glackster
March 4th 2022, but was supposed to be mid February. The snow had been looking amazing for a camp on Sgurr na Stri but the heavy storms shut the February trip down, and the ridiculous rain washed away all the snow from the top of Stri. 6 years in a row this wee hill has been taking the proverbial, often twice a year. Hereā€™s a wee selection of snaps from that camp over. My motivation for posting images to my Instagram feed isnā€™t as high as my enjoyment for actually going out and taking the photographs for myself. Not sure that will change any time soon, but thanks for hanging about this long and enduring my cycling spandex stories. by @glackster
I was safely on the other side shouting at @pete.rowles to get closer to the edge. Iā€™d have told me to feck right off. Was a right windy morning that day. February 2020, I think. by @glackster
Low tide ebb and high tide flow. . Some more pushed Tri-X from a year or so ago. . Was supposed to be on that wee hill a few weeks back, but the winds put a swift stop to that. Soon though. by @glackster
A shoe thatā€™s knocking on 35 years of making waves. . #microdudes #microwaves . I need to sack these, this took 3 months and 3 frustrating failed attempts. Granted I was only only doing small bits at a time, but still. Harold & Maud are close to retirement. by @glackster
Harold, Maud and the @microdudes (all being quite old) have used fossil fuels almost their entire life. They were very happy to help @salomon & @salomonsportstyle build the Index.01 from recycled materials and contribute towards them all becoming a little greener ā™»ļø . Once the shoes have reached their end of life they can be returned to Salomon for free where theyā€™ll be recycled again and used to make some brand new Salomon gear. . Have a swipe to see them constructing a pair. by @glackster
Feels like an age since I was last up here. This was back in 2019, shot on @kodak Tri-X šŸŽž and pushed. . Will cycle this wee road and the north island loop next spring. Anyone else want to have a crack? Itā€™s only 152k with 2,400m elevation, with some spectacular scenery. by @glackster
Cycled round the Isle of Mull back in May of this year, such an amazing little island. Took some random snaps on a 35mm point and shoot as we skooched round. . Been almost 9 weeks since I was smashed off my bike by a van driver and put in hospital for 3 days, probably be another few more before I can cycle properly. I miss it. @djtompz when we going back?!? . Anyway, hereā€™s my first post on my Instagram feed since December last year. Iā€™m still taking photographs, just not as enthused about sharing them. šŸŽž Developed and scanned at home by me, just very slowly. by @glackster
