Happy Mother’s Day to ALL Momma nurturers in whatever unique incarnation she appears. ❤️

Madre story: Once, Mom accidentally basted the Sunday oven roast chicken with a pour of Pine-Sol instead of the usual Wesson oil. (Back then, they came in very similar bottles.)

As it heated, the🌲 scent gradually increased throughout our house. When I say WE ALL SPRINTED TO THE KiTCHeN. 😱

Moral/Conclusion: Don’t let your momma get mentally/physically tired or exhausted. (Mom worked a 9-5 and also kept house.) It may not end well. 😩 💣 💥 taken in Superior, Colorado by @glaistig3000

Saturday (3/18) driving back from the usual weekend shopping errands, Mr. and I saw loads of flashing police cars up on the high overpass bridge that spans the Denver—Boulder turnpike (Hwy 36).

.

We slowed way down. At first, we thought we’d be turned back but we were allowed to cross over the bridge.

.
.
Looking to the bridge’s left side, I saw what looked like a young woman hanging on the other side — THE OUT MF SIDE! — of the bridge’s protective barrier mesh fence. She was clinging to the mesh.
.
.
My brain could barely make sense of what it was seeing. But yes, she was preparing to jump off the bridge to the highway below. 😖😫

Got home (seconds from the bridge) quite distraught that someone was in such pain. Heart rent. Felt helpless .

I subsequently searched Twitter (a great local news feed if nothing else).

A lovely Coloradan tweeter later updated that a young girl had been successfully rescued with a cherry picker lift. So grateful! 🙏🏽 ❤️ by @glaistig3000
