Birthday appreciation post #2: At 47 years old, I don’t take for granted how lucky I am to still have both my parents with me. So, it was so nice to do my family birthday celebration this weekend with them and my sister (as well as dear childhood family friends) before atoning for all my sins during Yom Kippur. :) A delicious Mediterranean dinner, a few birthday candles, lots of bagels and dairy, and some new sneakers and a Barrys gift card made this a birthday to remember!

In honor of @zrdubya finally turning 40 TODAY, here are scenes from his epic bday celebration in Aspen (plus, one adorable one from yesterday). Zach, you might be everyone’s best friend, but you’re a brother to me. We’ve known each other for almost 20 years and you’ve been there for me in my lowest of lows and my highest of highs, always in my corner, (literally) lifting me up, and having my back. Happy 50th birthday to one of my longest and dearest friends, @ilanafaith . From law school together to my “coming out party”, divorces, relationships and falling for chorus boys, to our shared love of (obsession with?) musical theater, we have experienced so much together in the last (over) 20 years!!
