@jrhoopselite October Fest Champions 🔥

Congrats to @otehoops 7th Burgundy opening their 2026/27 campaign by going 3-0 over the weekend in Highland, Indiana in route to their 2nd Jr Hoops Elite Championship.

The boys defeated three tough circuit teams (Next Up, Meanstreets and Prolific) in a great atmosphere. They received a ton of praise from other coaches and families on how mature they looked and how they played. It’s a true selfless team. Way to go boys!

Go Edge!

Your 2026 Illinois Middle School Back to Back State Champions! Congratulations to @otehoops 6th grade Burgundy! Incredible run.

Their second consecutive Illinois AAU/Club state championship wasn’t just about talent—it was the result of resilience, growth, and relentless effort over time. Their championship run showed that growth doesn’t come from easy wins as they played against numerous 7th grade teams during their season and even some of the notable top 6th grade teams in the area.

Ultimately, the boys made their dream a reality through hard work, perseverance, and true belief in one another. 3 straight trips to the Title game is a great accomplishment. Going back-to-back as state champions is a rare achievement—and for this group, it represents not just victory, but the payoff of everything they invested along the way. 81 wins and 10 losses since 4th grade for this group. Way to go! Go Edge!

2026 6th grade ILLINOIS STATE CHAMPS‼️
BACK 2 BACK STATE TITLES‼️🏆🏆

Over The Edge‼️ @otehoops

1st ever team at State to go back to back in AAU/Club division!

1st ever team to make it to 3 straight Illinois Middle School State Title games! Remarkable!

This weekend in Bloomington/Normal was simply UNFORGETTABLE! I am so proud of this TEAM and the way they absolutely battled in all 4 wins. Their resilience and determination was so special to see. All of their preparation, focus, dedication, humility and determination was on full display. They over achieved and made history and I couldn’t be any prouder!
“WE over me!” 30 wins 4 losses on the season and CHAMPIONS!!

What we have done together will stick with me for the rest of my life❤️ WE WORKED SO HARD FOR THIS!! They play their hearts out for me every single game! 🥹

So grateful for these moments! I didn’t have a coach Eddie at their age. I know what it means. I will forever pour my heart into each and every kid I coach.
2x State Champ! Wow man…just wow..

Thank you to every coach that has helped at some point with this group! Truly appreciate you all so much. Teamwork makes the dream work, ALWAYS.

“Is this shit real? Should I pinch you? After all the things that we been through, I GOT YOU!”

2025 5th grade Illinois State Champs‼️ Over The Edge‼️ @otehoops Chicago we brought it back home‼️

Just an unreal feeling. As 4th graders last year, the boys were 22-2 with their second loss coming in the State Championship. This year they went 29-4 ending their season on a 23 game winning streak!! Absurd!!!

To make it back to the BIG GAME a year later and win it is just SPECIAL! ♥️❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽

So proud of my boys and truly love them. I am so grateful I was able to give them something they will never forget for the rest of their lives. They’re now 51-6 as a team in 2 years together. 🤯🔥❤️‍🔥 We did it brother @lobo1214

“If you do not believe in yourself, no one else will”
@airswoopes22

This past year playing in the @wilson Chi League! Absolute honor to be selected to play in this game. Had this on my basketball bucket list. S/o to my brothers @dbmiyagi & @jobbabrnd They hold it down for the city of @chicago !

I’m only the 2nd latin player ever to play in the Chi League!

S/o to @xavier.castaneda 🔥🔥

It has always been a blessing to compete against some of the best in the city of Chicago and play this game at a high level. Only right I’m choosing to guard @royceparran respect beyond measures for my brother.

I love this game and I’m forever grateful I get to do this for a living.
