My Grandfather

It’s hard to find words that can truly describe who my Grandfather was! He was one of the most influential people in my life. I went on my first road trip with him as a 6 year old. Little did I know at the time the passion for travel I would learn from him. Even if we did kill the transmission in the van, had snicker bars and coke for dinner, and slept in a parking lot(I don’t think we told Grandma that till I was much older). He once said “I never regretted a trip I took, only the ones I didn’t take”.

One of the things I’m proudest of in life is sharing the name Glendon with him and his father. As my Great Grandfather would say anytime the 3 of us went out “we’re the only 3 Glendons in captivity”.

It’s hard to imagine a life without him but I am so grateful for the almost 33 years I had with him. The laughter, stories, lessons learned, and the adventure we were able to go on together. by @glendonmbach

Goodbye Bedford,

For 31 years this town has been home, even when I haven’t physically lived there! It’s always been a place I could come home to! A place that I could step away from the worries of the world! I have learned more from this tiny town than I’ll ever fully understand! This week we finished packing up the family farm! It’s a strange feeling saying bye to a town that has been a constant my whole life!
