Next stop home.

Early start as the pub was calling.

Set off from Leeds ice arena around 8am, bit chill in the air which can’t complain about the over 2 days were better then expected for the time of year.

@jack_r_davey was there to meet Glen and I, with supplies ( back up bottle and an extra tube after the faff of the previous day)

The route was the easiest of the 3 what only one real climb which was over and done in the first 2 miles. And well you could say it was all latterly down hill with a tail wind.

On arrival we was greeted by representatives from both Andy’s and mnd and most of all family.

So that’s it done

Why not start as you mean to go on

Had a bad feeling about tyre pressures quickly swapped out the tube, which as it turned was going to be the first.

Bit of breakfast and off we went. Always going swimmingly till rather nice decent, littered with pot holes where it leveled off.

My only water bottle and rear light ejected along with the air in my rear tyre, so once again a change and ready to go. Bottle and what remained of the rear light collected and off we go. So we thought but I think my front tyre was feeling left out so yup flat.

It was that moment I realized my spare tubes were in my bag, call was made. Tube replaced and off again.

One more stop before arriving Leeds to grab some snacks @jack_r_davey was there to greet us and ride back with us.

Off we went a whole 200 meters and yup another flat. Jack was on this quicker then a blink of an eye, tube changed and thankfully that was the last. Just the matter of a few “lumps” and done.

On arrival at the arena was greeted with a lovely surprise from the kind people at @leedsknights, our tickets upgraded to the hospitality suite and the opportunity to present the man of the match awards.

Playing catch as a busy weekend.

Friday morning @glenh88 and I left Hull ice arena home of @hullseahawks to head to ice Sheffield home of @sheffield_steeldogs.

With a little over 71 miles and 660 meters of elevation a head of us we was on our merry way little way.

Joined at the other side of the Humber bridge by Mark from @velotooluk to drop of supplies (which was needed, but that’s another time).

We had a couple of stops along the way, one of which and possibly the funniest deco in the men’s room I have seen for some time.

Naturally there was a couple wrong turns along the way but all in all a good ride.

Pulling up to the rink we had a welcome party cheering us in which was great to see.

A quick change then in to watch the game with a comedy announcement mid game saying what we had done and what we was doing or at least i think it was us, as they said Glen and Jim

170+ miles over 3 days. Hull > Sheffield > Leeds > Hull

All in aid of @mndassoc and @andysmanclubuk

We’ve done it!

170+ miles, 5,200ft plus elevation, 3 punctured tyres, lots of sweat… an awesome achievement and we’ve just hit our £2,000 target but we’re welcome to any extras! 😊
