My birthday is always the day that I reflect on the past year and I’m so happy to say that I am miiiles away from where I was last year. I found it, I found my thing. And damn, that feels good! Onto the next level. Happy birthday to me!🥳 taken in Cabo Girão by @glensterr

On top of the world. The eerie clouds slowly creeping through the trees, such an amazing view.

I normally don’t participate in all those end of the year posts but I feel like this year deserves a shoutout.
At the end of 2020 I felt like I wasted almost an entire year. After standing still, literally and figuratively, I wanted 2021 to be different. So I made this tweet my screensaver in the hopes that it would remind me every day of the change that I wanted to make.
Halfway through the year I felt like I was failing hard, going backwards even. Little did I know that all the shit that was coming up to the surface was exactly what needed to happen to do what I set out to do. Throughout my coach training I found my theme of the year: ‘You get what you need before you get what you want’. And now with the year ending, I can see that clearly. (🎼”I can see clearly now, the rain is gone.”🎶)
Despite the world still going to shit and still being stuck in the same situation, I can say that I’m not even close to where I was last year. I can look at my screensaver and proudly say that I fckin’ did it. And the background picture felt very fitting✌🏽 taken in Outback Australia by @glensterr

🎈Another year wiser🎈
I’m at an age where most people are settling down, starting a family, buying a house etc. I, on the other hand, started a course last year and will start a new one in a few months.
To be starting over, changing direction, going back to ‘school’ at my age has been a humbling experience. I had to put my pride aside, let my ego take a backseat and accept this is a time of patience. Lay low for a while, longer than I initially expected. But as a late bloomer I can’t say that I’m surprised lol. Even though I have my weak moments, I have a clear vision of where I’m headed and I’m enjoying the ride✌🏽 Cheers to another year full of knowledge and learning💫
