For once, being a liar was a good thing. @antmoney247 and I somehow managed to completely surprise A4 with a trip to @waltdisneyworld on Thursday night and his reaction was truly PRICELESS! The bonus? We met @wwertruth on the elevator on our way to baggage claim! If you're seeing this R-Truth, you made a crazy travel day WAYYYYYYY better for this terrible flyer! Social media palette cleanser time! I attended a ring and bangle making workshop at @petersvalley this past weekend. Our instructor @eatmetalstudio and fine metals studio coordinator @thatbeltbuckleguy were incredible to learn from and work with. They never made me feel dumb or "uncool" (like some art experiences I've had in the past) and always had time to answer my questions/ fix any of my botches 🤣. ENDLESS gratitude to you both, Elizabeth and Wyatt! 💖 My peers were also all fabulous individuals that I learned from, too! I URGE you ALL to try to attend a workshop that interests you at Peters Valley in the future (or elsewhere if NJ isn't convenient). I have NEVER felt so genuinely fulfilled/satisfied from creating. It was the best and most necessary kind of "selfish/me time/self-love" ever and I cannot wait to do this again soon!!!!!!!!!!!! Overview of each piece pictured below:
1. All of my finished pieces sitting pretty at my work station!
2. My first creation! A single band silver ring I pressed with a pattern and stamped stars into.
3. 2 copper rings I worked on specifically for A4. The top band has a pattern pressed into it. The bottom has MANY stamped textures, including an A, 4, and tiny heart
4. Convex silver ring with a fun composition book-type pattern pressed into it. This one fits me perfectly and is my favorite.
5. Concave silver ring with a braided fidget/spinner ring on top. It fits @antmoney247 perfectly, too! It was intimidating to make and came out way nicer than anticipated. Definitely proudest of this one!!!!
6. Silver trinity ring for my Mom. It's 3 intertwined rings that required LOTS of patience to craft.
7. Copper bangle with a pressed pattern and hearts stamped into it.
