▪️ 6 years ago, I prayed to do well on the LSAT.
▪️ 5 years ago, I prayed to get in to law school.
▪️ 4 years ago, I prayed to transfer so my gpa could start over.
▪️ 3 years ago, I prayed to get fully admitted to a higher ranked law school.
▪️ 2 years ago, I prayed to graduate with an IP internship at a Fortune 100.
▪️ 1 year ago, I prayed to pass the bar exam.
▪️ This year, I prayed to get a new job.
▪️ Today, my prayer was just, “Thank You, Lord.”

God did it all PLUS some. I was officially sworn in to the New York State Bar, joined the 2% of black women attorneys, AND started my dream job as a Cyber Attorney at an international firm in NYC! Amen. Amen. Amen.

A (juris) DAAWWCCTTUUUHHH?!

The best way to make God laugh is to plan; and the way that man CACKLED at my law school plans (side eye).

Here’s to the days of feeling incompetent, lost, alone, mistaken, afraid, inadequate, ETC. Journeys don’t make sense sometimes, but look at God ✨

Next stop: Intellectual Property @ a Fortune 100 company, an unnecessary writing class my school is forcing me to take, and then who literally knows 🥂
