YEAR ONE 🇵🇭

Doing things for fun and for a greater purpose has always been the foundations for Global Barangay Trading Co.

As we always say, a Barangay is not one person. It is not “Kapitan.” This Barangay is a product of great folk who show up.

With that, we thank you for the support the last year. We’ve been slow sometimes and have had shortcomings, but we’ll try to be better moving forward.

New things in the pipeline, we hope to see more of you around soon.

Despite all the chatter about barangay’s “exclusivity”, all you really need is a GBB/GBBR 😅 so here’s your sign to finally get one.

To create, you must do.
To walk, you must crawl.
To lead, you must follow.
To learn, you must endure.

We are a product of all our failures and successes.

The beauty of life is accepting the space for growth and improvement.

To be humbled is to be critical.

We accept that we are only human, and we will only ever be human.

Rock bottoms will teach you lessons that mountain tops will never.

Nothing truly worth doing is achieved while waiting for the perfect timing or researching theories.

Growth is in doing things. It’s doing things and just sucking at it, it’s also showing up for anything with a mindset to learn something new. It’s also doing things knowing you will fail and knowing that they are uncomfortable.

Two years, who would have thought? From the ground, we didn’t even notice because time surely does fly when you are having fun.

The people we met, the places we’ve been to, the experiences we’ve had. Truly an adventure of a lifetime for us, and we’ve just scratched the surface.

Thanks to all of those who believed in Global Barangay, and so much love for the haters, for no one doing more has time to be sitting behind a screen typing out a crazy statement that most people will read, and unfortunately, forget.

Everywhere you go, may kapitbahay tayo dyan.

Often times, consulting firearms knowledge for film, TV, and streaming can be a challenge for those who’ve never gone through classes or courses, and conversely how do you portray characters proficient as such. With a bit of gunworks, the foundations, fundamentals and repititions are the baseline for any good portrayal

Shoutout to the RATS instructors who came by and stacked up.

Hills that won’t end, long nights, and trench foot. 72 hours I won’t forget. There’s something about spending that much time with the same people that changes the way you see your friends. OP Valhalla pushed me harder than anything I’ve done before.

But that’s exactly the point. You don’t grow by staying comfortable. You grow by putting yourself in situations that demand more from you. Oh yeah and getting extracted by a Black Hawk wasn’t bad either. Amateur hour has truly ended. Gotta go home folks. Enjoy your SLEEP. When @_dengerard reached out to workshop for a stunt sequence with firearms, we came in and made sure Inka had a short course on fundamentals and context to effectively manipulate and handle firearms on-screen, with no shortcuts of knowledge of course.

“Be like water”

Seep through cracks, find gaps that don’t exist, extinguish fires, grow seeds, sustain communities.

But also, be guided by what is around you, and overflow when it is time to reach the sea. by @globalbarangay
