We are delighted to share Dr Soheil Abedian, member of the Council of Advisors of Global Peace and Prosperity Forum, presented Angus Taylor, leader of the Liberal Party and Australia’s federal Opposition leader, with our “A New Framework for Enduring Peace” policy brief, July 2025. Angus Taylor, serves as the leader of the Liberal Party and Australia’s federal Opposition leader since February 2026, having replaced Sussan Ley on 13 February 2026. Before stepping into the Liberal Party’s top leadership role, Angus Taylor built a diverse career that spanned over 20 years in global management consulting as Partner at McKinsey & Company, Director at Port Jackson Partners and entrepreneur and investor in agribusiness. He entered politics in 2013 and quickly established himself as one of the Coalition’s leading voices on fiscal policy, energy, industry, and productivity. His appointments in senior ministerial positions in the federal government and as Shadow Treasurer after the 2022 federal election further strengthened his reputation as the Opposition’s chief economic strategist. Angus Taylor was elected to the House of Representatives at the 2013 federal election as the Liberal Member for Hume. Before his leadership, Angus Taylor served in multiple cabinet and ministerial roles, including: • Minister for Law Enforcement and Cybersecurity (2017–2018) • Minister for Energy and Emissions Reduction in 2019. • Minister for Industry, Energy and Emissions Reduction in 2021 • Shadow Treasurer in 2022 Angus Taylor advocates lower taxation, private-sector investment, reduced government regulation, affordable energy, home ownership and migration levels linked to Australia’s housing and infrastructure capacity. Angus Taylor grew up on a sheep and cattle farm in Nimmitabel, New South Wales. He completed a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Sydney, before winning a Rhodes Scholarship to study a Master of Philosophy in Economics at New College, Oxford. He is married to Louise Taylor and have four children. We look forward to working with Angus Taylor in addressing extremes of wealth and poverty that create systemic instability. by @globalpeaceandprosperity
We are delighted to share Dr Soheil Abedian, member of the Council of Advisors of Global Peace and Prosperity Forum, presented Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price, an Aboriginal Australian politician who represents the Northern Territory in the Australian Senate, with our “A New Framework for Enduring Peace” policy brief, July 2025. Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price is a prominent figure in conservative politics. As of September 2026, she holds three parliamentary responsibilities: the Shadow Minister for Skills and Training, Shadow Minister for Small Business, and a Country Liberal Party Senator for the Northern Territory. She also previously held the position of Shadow Minister for Indigenous Australians. Born in Darwin on 12 May 1981, Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price is 45 years old and has Warlpiri Aboriginal, Irish and Scottish ancestry. She is a former small business owner and a former Deputy Mayor of Alice Springs Town Council. She has also served as a former Director of Indigenous Research at the Centre for Independent Studies and as a spokesperson and media contributor. She was first elected to the Australian Senate in 2022 and secured re-election in 2025. Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price is passionate about driving the economy to work for all Australians and continues to fight to maintain the rich Australian values for the benefit of all Territorians and Australians alike. Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has advocated against domestic violence and the need for positive cultural change. She has worked on a number of initiatives to empower young Indigenous children, girls and women. She became particularly well known in 2023 for opposing the proposal for a referendum to enshrine an Indigenous Voice to Parliament within the Australian Constitution on the grounds that it would be racially divisive, and drive a wedge further between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australia rather than unite Australians. We look forward to collaborating with Senator Price, whose unique blend of interests, perspectives and capabilities offer profound insight into countering the ways in which injustice is reproduced through social, economic and political processes. by @globalpeaceandprosperity
From Dichotomy of Extremes to a Path of Peace The dichotomy of extremes is characterized by hyper-technological progress and unprecedented wealth by a few elites coexisting with acute socioeconomic fragility, widening rich-poor divides, and systemic instability. The interplay between wealth, poverty, conflict, progress, stability, and fragility forms the core tension of human developmental history. These six forces exist in a state of constant contrast and causal feedback loops, where the progress of one group often drives the fragility of another. When the benefits of progress are concentrated at the top, the relative poverty of the vulnerable deepens. This visible disparity deepens poverty, erodes social cohesion, and transitions a stable society into a fragile one, ultimately sparking conflict.
From Fragility to Global Peace. For a century, international diplomacy has settled for a low bar: the ceasefire. We negotiate the temporary absence of violence and call it peace. But a ceasefire is a zero-sum equation; it leaves both sides staring across a border, nursing their wounds, waiting for the next spark. In our video we share how A New Framework for Enduring Peace introduces a profound shift from reactive crisis management to proactive peace cultivation. Three core pillars: • Shared Vision (The Goal): the vision of oneness of humanity that allows for unity and peace to flourish through shared resource management, climate resilience, and economic integration, giving adversarial factions a common destination to strive toward. • Structural Pathways (The Strategy): It draws on justice as the foundational principle for durable peaceful societies. • Civic Agency (The Action): True peace is built from the ground up through daily, purposeful action. Inspired by historical movements of mass mobilization, the framework introduces "Constructive Agency" that require active cooperation from individuals, communities and institutions, restoring a sense of shared human agency and mutual reliance. A hope-focused initiative for peace seeks to transform collective despair into shared purpose. Rather than simply wishing for an end to conflict, it leverages strategic goals, transparent pathways, and civic agency to heal systemic division. by @globalpeaceandprosperity
