POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

There is a lot of conversation surrounding unification and pickleball’s path to the Olympic Games.

At Global Pickleball Federation, we feel this conversation should be grounded in facts and personal experience of what it actually takes to reach the Olympic stage.

As a two-time U. S. Olympian in badminton, with more than two decades of leadership across global business and sports governance, I bring a firsthand perspective to the Olympic journey and a proven understanding of the standards, structures and commitment required to move a sport forward. That perspective is strengthened by the collective expertise of the GPF Board of Directors, who bring decades of experience across sport, entertainment, business, governance and international leadership.

Now, we are pleased to share these FAQs addressing some of the most important questions surrounding unification, governance and pickleball’s Olympic pathway — because the details matter.

GPF is exploring all Olympic pathways that serve the best interests of our members and pickleball for the world. We invite you to read, share and bring informed perspective to this important conversation.

OPERATION PADDLELIFT—The continent of Africa is eager to compete on a world stage, but access to pickleball equipment remains a constant barrier. 🌍

GPF Officiating Committee member @ron_ponder54 traveled to Madagascar, to find an entire village taking turns playing with their stockpile of four pickleball paddles.

At the same time, @chriskorjenek (swipe left) wished to honor a friend by sending equipment to Cameroon, only to learn that customs charges would cost more than the value of the equipment itself. The GPF is grateful for these Champions whose determination and generosity is landing essential equipment 8,000 miles away. Still in the queue:

D.R. Congo
Lesotho
Madagascar
Tanzania
Nigeria
Egypt
Benin
Zimbabwe
Kenya
South Africa
Rwanda
Tunisia

To learn how you can impact lives and create opportunity, read about Operation PaddleLift under Funding at www.globalpickleballfederation.org.

OPERATION PADDLELIFT—What have we learned in the process of delivering hope and pickleball equipment to the world? 🌏 It takes commitment and a village.

In the case of @omanpickleball, the @globalpickleballfederation is grateful for the support of:

@franklinpickleball -Franklin X-40 pickleballs
@selkirksport —Quick Set Nets
@the_goodsport_foundation

And @pickleball__pat (swipe left) Oman’s champion who generously donated the high cost of shipping and customs to Muscat, Oman, where pickleball equipment is non-existent.

Over the past few months, GPF has delivered essential equipment to Oman, Cameroon, The Philippines, Algeria and Sierra Leone (in transit). This is our mission and our commitment to Pickleball for the World. 🌏 taken in Muscat, Oman by @globalpickleballfederation

🇮🇳 GROWTH CREATES MOMENTUM. FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY KEEPS IT MOVING.

More tournaments - More federations - More opportunities. But behind every growing sport is a bigger challenge: how to turn today's momentum into something financially sustainable for tomorrow.

As Treasurer of the Global Pickleball Federation, Aditya Khanna @addykhanna brings a financial-governance perspective to the conversation.

How do we build the financial foundations to support pickleball's long-term growth?

See Aditya at the Global Pickleball Summit 2026.

🌍 A TRULY GLOBAL SPORT NEEDS MORE THAN GLOBAL REACH. IT NEEDS EVERY VOICE.

Pickleball is expanding across borders, bringing together countries with different experiences, challenges and ambitions.

But being part of a global sport should mean more than simply being represented.

As Board Director of the Global Pickleball Federation, Ruth Rosenquist @ruthettarose brings an international governance perspective to this conversation.

More nations. More perspectives. One shared future.

How do we make sure every voice has a place in shaping the game?

See Ruth at Global Pickleball Summit 2026.
