From the early days life can feel like a bit of a tick box exercise. You’re encouraged to find a partner, get a ‘good job’ and take the steady route to ‘success’ in the corporate world. It’s ok to feel like you don’t belong in that category. It’s ok to think differently to the large majority and it’s ok to do what you believe is right for yourself, even at the annoyance of others. by @globetromper

There is somebody your age around the world living their last few days on earth, wishing they could have more time, wishing they could have the ability to live just one more day. Do the things that you promised yourself you’d do. The things you keep telling yourself you’ll do ‘later’ ..when it’s the ‘right time’ or when you get round to it. Everything matters until that one thing (health) becomes an issue ..then nothing else matters. Your days aren’t guaranteed, live that way. by @globetromper

Your brain loves predictability and a trip away represents a complete disruption to your daily routine. No matter how much you pack or plan ..there will never be a ‘perfect time’ and you’ll never be 100% ready. by @globetromper

If you have the privilege to even step foot on a plane and visit a new country, you are part of a very minor statistic. Appreciate every moment ..you are more lucky than you’ll ever understand. 🌎🙏🏽 by @globetromper

Definitely took a long walk down memory lane with this one 😢❤️🌎 . No matter how many trips I go on, I’ll never take for granted the privilege and the opportunity I am blessed with to see this beautiful planet. 370 days across this ginormous, captivating, and inspiring continent of Asia. It’s well and truly been a ride 😮‍💨

On day 370, its time to go home.. I haven’t fully processed it all yet. 🙏🏽 These experiences are hard to sum up. It seems like it was just yesterday I was arriving in Manila in the Philippines and now I’m on the return journey back to London. So much has happened, yet so difficult to summarise. More to come in the days ahead…. Right now, I go to celebrate my mum and dad’s 50th year of love and marriage. 🙏🏽 see you soon London 🇬🇧 by @globetromper

A caged bird views the sky as dangerous and unknown, because it has only ever known restriction. Whereas the free bird looks at it with endless possibility. Confinement causes the caged bird to normalise captivity, as well as convincing others to stay put, because they cannot fathom a life outside the boundaries they have accepted for themselves. This isn’t about birds. by @globetromper

I left a well paid corporate job back in 2020 to go and pursue a dream of seeing the world. Lots of people thought I was crazy to turn my back on a role that many would have loved to have, particularly to take on the unknown and subsequently rewriting a whole new chapter.

Not every journey needs an audience and not every decision needs to be explained. Sometimes you have to tune out the external chaos to hear the quiet voice telling you which way to go. by @globetromper
