Our experience at Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) was unforgettable. The hike was challenging because of the high altitude, but every step was worth it. As we climbed higher, the colorful layers of the mountain gradually came into view, creating a landscape unlike anything we had ever seen. The fresh mountain air and the peaceful surroundings made the journey even more special.
One of the highlights of the trip was witnessing the glaciers in the surrounding Andes. Seeing the bright white ice covering the distant peaks was breathtaking and provided a striking contrast to the vibrant colors of Rainbow Mountain. Lofoten Road Trip — at the edge of the world 🇳🇴

We arrived in Lofoten at 3am, under the midnight sun. No darkness, just golden light, sharp peaks rising straight from the sea, and red fishing cabins scattered along turquoise bays. Exhausted from the road, wide awake from the scenery.

July in Lofoten means endless days, crowded trails, changing weather every hour — and landscapes that feel unreal. We hiked late at night, chased empty viewpoints, slept in the van, cooked our own meals, and learned quickly to respect the wind and rain.

Reinebringen took our breath away. Ryten and Kvalvika Beach made us feel like we reached the end of the map. Quiet villages, dramatic beaches, and that constant feeling that nature is always in charge here.

Lofoten isn’t about ticking boxes. It’s about slowing down, choosing fewer experiences, and letting the landscape set the pace.

Not an easy trip. Not a cheap one.
But absolutely unforgettable.

While everyone visits the Alps, we found something even better. Snow-capped peaks reflecting golden light, crystal-clear rivers, and villages that look hand-painted onto mountainsides.
From the dramatic amphitheater of Cirque de Gavarnie to endless switchbacks on Col d’Aspin, every turn revealed something new.

April gave us the best of both worlds: snow on peaks, wildflowers in valleys, and waterfalls at their most powerful. No crowds, no mass tourism—just raw mountain beauty.

The Pyrenees aren’t for luxury seekers, but if you love hiking, road tripping, and waking up to views that change every day, you’ll fall in love. Pack layers, bring your sense of adventure, and prepare to have every expectation exceeded.

Last October, we visited Dambulla in Sri Lanka and were immediately struck by the calm beauty of the place. The climb up to the Dambulla Cave Temple took us past sweeping views of the surrounding plains, with the golden Buddha shining below. Inside the caves, the ancient murals and statues felt almost otherworldly—cool, dim, and full of history. Standing before the massive reclining Buddha, we were amazed by how well everything had been preserved. Outside, monkeys moved through the trees as we took in the view toward Sigiriya. Our first stay in Sri Lanka was at Cinnamon Lodge Habarana, just minutes from Sigiriya. Surrounded by serene greenery and wildlife, it was the perfect introduction to the island. The day we hiked Sigiriya was one of those unexpectedly perfect days. We started early, the air still cool, and made our way up the long staircases together, stopping every so often to laugh, catch our breath, or admire the view.
When we finally reached the top, the whole landscape opened up around us—green, quiet, and unbelievably beautiful. We sat for a while, sharing water and just enjoying the moment. Coming back down was easier, but by the end our legs were definitely feeling it.
