JUST SOLD: The penultimate residence in our two-storey House Collection.

When we designed the House Collection at Junction House, the goal was simple: bring the spatial feeling of a traditional house into the sky.

Think of it as a two-storey townhouse suspended above the city. On the main level, you have expansive living and dining spaces that open directly onto a private terrace — complete with a natural gas BBQ connection and an outdoor hose bib for gardening and summer entertaining.

Upstairs, the design shifts to rest and retreat. By elevating the bedrooms onto a separate level, you get true acoustic separation and privacy from the main living area down below.

Now, only ONE 2-storey suite remains.

To be completely honest, this final available residence is easily one of our absolute favourite floor plans in the entire building. The layout, the light, and the proportion of space make it a standout home in the JUNCTION HOUSE community.

If you’ve been looking for a family-sized, 2 bed, and 2.5 bath in the Junction, this is your last chance to secure a two-storey residence here.

The final chapter of our film series with Jeanne Gang.

With One Delisle now at its full height, the neighbourhood can take in everything the building has to offer — light, air, and a built form that unlocks the corner of Yonge and St. Clair rather than walling it in.

Catch up on the first two films on our grid.

PLACES | Atlas House, Toronto

A full rebuild of a former bungalow on a corner lot in Toronto’s Humewood-Cedarvale neighbourhood, Atlas House offers a fresh reimagining of the city’s classic gabled roof typology.

One standout feature is its exterior skin: handmade Belgian bricks with irregular shapes and rich tonal shifts ranging from clay-red to dark purple. Studio VAARO worked side-by-side with the brick masons to harmonize mortar color, joint depth, and patterning — allowing each unit to feel distinctly handcrafted up close while forming a seamless, sculpted whole from the street.

Inside, the rich masonry yields to a deliberately contrasting palette anchored by natural woods, white-and-grey terrazzo, and muted colours. Swipe to take a look.

PLACES | ARKOBJECT, Istanbul

In Istanbul, curatorial gallery ARKOBJECT bridges contemporary collectible design with the city’s historic workshop traditions, creating a dynamic forum where local material knowledge informs modern spatial objects.

Founded by Sami Savatli (cover photo) to elevate one-of-a-kind works and limited editions, ARKOBJECT fosters a direct dialogue between contemporary designers — such as Zeynep Fadıllıoğlu, Tayfun Mumcu, and Betül Özkan — and the specialist artisans whose workshops remain an active part of Istanbul’s urban fabric.

Rather than viewing craft as a static heritage, the gallery approaches traditional fabrication techniques as an essential medium for spatial experimentation, material integrity, and modern artistic expression.

Placemaking extends far beyond architectural structures; it thrives in the physical objects, tactile surfaces, and localized craftsmanship that define how we experience a place.

Focus: Contemporary collectible design and art

PLACES | Rue de l’Église by Triptyque Architecture

Between mineral mass and constructive lightness, the Rue de l’Église Residence in Paris’s 15th arrondissement explores how contemporary infill can engage in a meaningful dialogue with historic urban fabric.

Designed by @triptyquearchitecture, the facade offers a contemporary reinterpretation of classical Haussmannian proportions. Rather than imitating heritage details, the envelope relies on tectonic authenticity: a facade crafted from massive, self-supporting cut stone sourced directly from the Île-de-France region alongside reclaimed brick.

Underlying the natural stone exterior is a flexible, post-and-beam structural system engineered for long-term optionality — proving that dense, durable urban housing can honor regional stone traditions while remaining adaptable to future uses.

Architecture: @triptyquearchitecture
Landscape Design: Horticulture et Jardin
Engineering: Artelia, Horticulture & Jardins, LASA, Bureau Veritas, CSD Face
Client: Bouygues Immobilier
General Contractor: Les Maçons Parisiens
Area: 3,600 m²
Program: 39 serviced apartments (106 rooms)
Cost: 3,150€/m² (without FFE)

One of the fundamental truths about cities is that transportation and land-use planning are integral to one another. The most successful cities understand this and build density on top of transit, and build transit where density can and will go. See, once again, the Tokyo model. It’s for this reason that we think the Superkül-led conceptual project called Housing on the Line is an important one for Toronto. While the projects are speculative, they remind us that many of our transit stations are severely undeveloped, including ones we’ve only recently built. Why?

Description:

Housing on the Line, a conceptual project and architectural exhibition conceived and initiated by Superkül, will open to the public next Thursday, September 24th in Liberty Village. Developed in collaboration with six other firms – COMN Architects, Dubbeldam Architecture + Design, Gabriel Fain Architects, StudioAC, Studio VAARO, and Suulin – the project proposes speculative designs that integrate multi-unit residential buildings with smaller existing subway station sites along TTC Line 2 Bloor-Danforth. Each firm’s proposal treats a different subway station along Line 2 as a creative canvas for imagining innovative typologies and context-appropriate design that delivers human-scale character, enhanced amenities, and community connectivity.

Details:

Housing on the Line | Opening Reception
Date: Thursday, September 24, 2026
Time: 6:00–9:30 pm
Location: The Bakery, 2 Fraser Ave, Toronto
RSVP: adele@superkul.ca

If you can’t make the opening reception next Thursday, you can also visit between September 25-27, during the hours of 10am-5pm.

Every Studio Gang project responds to its specific cultural, environmental, and historical context.

At One Delisle, that means a structural system that maximizes the variety of suite layouts while minimizing construction impact on a dense Midtown block - a building designed to be a good neighbour. taken in One Delisle by @globizen
