Recording this Afropop classic with Ghana star @adina_thembi in Accra 🇬🇭 for Gloria The Musical - a story of a young musician from Accra who dreams her way to a fairytale England. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🌍🔥

It was a massive thrill to work with an artist at Adina’s level. Numerous magical moments of the universe hading down the rhythm and the rhyme. We blended English with Twi to create with the supreme musicality of multi-instrumentalist Grammy-writing @joshuamoszi 🎹 and demon engineer @refgeemusic building the track in motion. @kunle__sax effortlessly brought the brass hooks.

We'll be releasing Akwaaba! in 2027 when the show is staged in London.

Joshua introduced us to so many amazing artists 🎶 in the Ghana music scene.

The purest energy in Accra right here. 🇬🇭✨

When we needed the authentic heartbeat for the "Akwaaba!" (Welcome) anthem for Gloria The Musical, Headmaster David Sagodo and the incredible students of Redeemer Preparatory School delivered absolute magic.

Watching these kids light up the booth alongside Afrobeats royalty @adinathembi, Grammy-winner @joshuamoszi, and engineer @refgeemusic at studio of Ghana dancehall legend @epixode is exactly what this journey is about: bridging cultures through rhythm. The future of musical theatre sounds like this. 🌍
