It might be because I love having too much on my plate but also because I have a shelf full of books and I’ve only read half of them 📚📖 …

I know this sounds a little delusional 🤭 but you’re craving a space and you don’t find it, you have to create it…

I love book clubs but never really felt the desire to read the same book as everyone else (I already have a long TBR 😭)

So why not bring all book clubs together to create a day retreat

I’m so dang cringe 🙈

I can’t believe that over the past 6 months, I’ve worked with some incredible personal brands and creative brands

That was the aim, I didn’t take this leap for no reason - I wanted to give myself more time to support creatives who needed it the most 🥹

I’m still not over the fact that I had the chance to collaborate with one of my dream brands within 3 months of being a full time freelance social media manager 🎉

This is your sign to be delusional about your dreams 🤯

Whether you want to make it on hit 50K in sales each month 💰, hit 5 million subscribers on YouTube or you just want a career that allows you to save and travel ✈️

Your dreams don’t have to be everyone else’s dreams 😌

Here’s to being a content creator, a social media manager AND an event host 🥂

Now my dreams are out there for you to see, they may not seem big enough to some of you and they might seem too big to some of you BUT

Most importantly, they’re mine 🥰

but is this also a secret announcement that I’m hosting a Hunger Games movie marathon on November 14th??? 🥳🎉

Erm… yes, maybe 🥹👀

Ngl I’m absolutely bricking it 😭 because each event I host feels like a chance to fail loud and publicly 😩

& this one is taking every single ounce of planning, creative collaboration and too many damn emails to happen 📝

But I hope meeting the bookish babes IRL (& seeing you connect with other book lovers in the room) will make all the nerves worth it!

How to host events in Manchester??? 📆🥰

1. Find your passion! 🥹 In reality, you’re not going to continuously show up for an activity or space you’re not passionate about
2. Have great friends 📣🤗 They are going to be the ones to keep you motivated when you feel like quitting or you feel like you’re not good enough
3. Have anxiety (or surviving on caffeine for 3 days before the event also works) 💬😵‍💫 This is what keeps me up at night, completing last minute jobs, sending invoices and making sh*t happen! This is my ✨ favourite ✨ part
4. Learn that post-event burnout is a THING and schedule a rest day/rest morning 😩

Okay, maybe I’m kidding about No.3 but…

the real message is this: sometimes you need to check in on your freelance friends - you might be the reason they don’t give up on their dreams ✨

Visiting London 📍 from Manchester feels like a survival trip sometimes! 😅😩

👣 Be ready to walk 15-20k steps every single day, pay TFL your rent money and be chronically outside!!

On Sunday, I had the privilege of covering @bbbookfestival 📚📖 but I also took the chance to meet some new friends and galavant 🤗

It was so tiring but so worth it 🥹

the TV nerd in me initially saw @joshtedeku on @boarderstv and @amd.house.creative 📹

Then my theatre addiction directed the algorithm to Fences and I was hooked on their marketing 🎭

I’ve attended as a content creator but my favourite part is being a part of the audience - watching the joy on the stage ✨, bumping into friends I haven’t seen in forever 🥹 and dancing the night away at the iconic after party 💃🪩
