there was something about anne with an e that made it feel different from other shows. the scenery, the music, the friendships, the little moments and the way anne saw the world made every episode feel like stepping into a storybook.

it was one of those series that made you laugh, cry, fall in love with its characters and somehow feel at home in a place you had never been. even after all these years, watching anne, gilbert and the rest of the cast feels like going back to a version of life that we didn’t know we were going to miss so much. by @gloslip

robert pattinson was only 17 when he landed the role of cedric in harry potter and the goblet of fire. he hadn’t even read the books before auditioning, but after getting the opportunity, he read the book in just one day and immediately knew he wanted the part.

the role ended up changing his life. the movie was originally expected to take around four months to film, but production lasted nearly a year, meaning robert had to give up his plans to go to university.

years later, he said that harry potter was the reason he became an actor and that, without cedric diggory, he probably wouldn’t be where he is today. by @gloslip

christian bale portrayed bruce wayne in christopher nolan’s the dark knight trilogy, beginning with batman begins in 2005. his interpretation explored not only the hero behind the mask, but also the man shaped by loss, fear and his desire to protect gotham.

one of the most interesting details about his audition was the origin of batman’s voice. while wearing the uncomfortable batsuit, bale felt that he looked ridiculous, so he decided to compensate by creating a deeper, rougher voice that would give batman a sense of “animalistic fury.” when he returned home, he apparently told his wife that he would probably be rejected for it. but christopher nolan loved the contrast between bruce wayne and batman. by @gloslip

it’s hard to imagine the notebook without rachel mcadams and ryan gosling as allie and noah. their chemistry became one of the most memorable parts of the movie, but behind the scenes, things were very different at first. director nick cassavetes revealed that the two didn’t get along during filming, and ryan even asked if another actress could read rachel’s lines off-camera because he felt he couldn’t work with her. they were eventually put in a room together, where they had a heated argument, and according to cassavetes, things became much easier afterward.

hardworking, kind, loyal and incredibly genuine, jerry is also one of the true gentlemen of the series. his sweet relationship with diana, the way he treats her with respect and care, and his friendship with anne show just how thoughtful he can be. watching him grow, build his relationships and find his place at green gables made him a character that is impossible not to love. by @gloslip

gwen stacy is one of the most iconic characters in the spider-man universe. intelligent, confident and independent, she is much more than peter parker’s love interest. gwen has always been portrayed as someone with her own ambitions, opinions and personality, while also being deeply caring and loyal toward the people she loves.

different adaptations have given her their own interpretation, but that combination of intelligence, strength and warmth has remained at the heart of the character. gwen is the kind of person who can be both incredibly gentle and fiercely determined and that’s part of what has made her so memorable throughout the years. by @gloslip
