Breaking the silence of the Glow podcast series, Berlin-based artist Emme Moises joined us for a stunning modular live performance titled, “In Chaos” an ambient live set performed at Barkett in Berlin on October 21st, 2022. She effortlessly mixes modular and Moog Matriarch recordings, with stems from previous released tracks, reinterpreted for a specific time and space. On the performance, she explains, “it’s a journey through the present everyday chaos that surrounds us.” Waves of droning synths wash over each other, while mechanical and organic textures float in and out of the mix. In the last few minutes we reach a climax with beautiful choir-like vocals and lush pads. It shows us what modular music can be: touching, intimate, and deeply personal. Not only is she playing live sets around Berlin, but she’s got a gorgeous studio LP “Talking to The Spheres” on Modularfield set to release this year! We are looking forward to hearing more from her in the coming months and are very grateful to present this live set! Landing for the fourth installment of the Glow podcast series, Berlin-based DJ Jonas Orbiting joins us for an action packed 80 minute two-deck vinyl only set. Recorded in one take, Jonas seamlessly mixes through peak-time techno, bass music, and electro. Rolling rhythms boom without getting stale along with quick but buttery transitions which signify Jonas’s style. Check it out on Soundcloud (Link in Bio)!
