I started this page because I was embarrassed to put things on my personal pages for fear of judgement 🤦‍♀️

I told myself “I’m not a social media type of person” 😆

But…….I wanted to hold myself accountable for shifting my lifestyle, becoming who I’ve always been before life took over.

It turns out there’s lots of women like me.

I’ve got over the cringe and if you’re cringing please unfollow me!

I’m still understanding and sharing what makes midlife exciting.

How we are still young enough to transform our health and wellbeing to look and feel our best.

Thank you for the kind words of encouragement this last year, and if you’re new, here’s a little bit about me.

If you’re also a midlife women or have older children and rediscovering your purpose and/or wellbeing

You’re in the right place and I’d love to chat!

Is Midlife screaming change is needed!

That was me last year, a little lost and trying to figure out what I wanted this next phase of life to look like.

I knew I wanted more freedom to travel

I was no longer needed as much

I didn’t want to continue giving my energy to others

I wanted to have more fun

I wanted to be part of a community that gave me energy

I wanted to continue to have impact on the world

But, not at the detriment of my own wellbeing

If this speaks to you, comment SHIFT to begin moving into a different way of being.

Do you know your why?

What gets you up in a morning?

I’ve been reflecting on my why and my passion for health, wellbeing and impact for others has never left me - now’s the time to harness it further!

My push was a scan that showed my nutritional health wasn’t as good as it could be! Impacting on my behaviours and my choices.

What will be your push? Or do you want to get ahead and take your own control?

Stepping outside of what we’re programmed to do first takes awareness.

Is what you’re doing filling your soul?

Or, is it what you think you should be doing?

Observe without judgement.

It took awareness of how my lifestyle was impacting my health to make other changes.

I’d love to share more if you’re curious comment ROBOT!

People keep telling me running isn’t good for you as you get older.

I politely disagree.

It’s not about your age. It’s about how you train, recover, and look after your body.

My mum is 73 and currently training for her next half marathon. 💪

She’s proof that movement has no expiry date.

Age is a privilege.

Staying active is a choice.

Keep moving. Keep challenging yourself. Keep proving the myths wrong. ❤️

BUILT BY THE RUN 🧡

A bit of a milestone today. Our first ever SAVR Run CIC directors’ meeting! @savrrun

Finally, three of us around the table. A massive thank you to Paul and Jo for your time, support and belief in what we’re trying to build.

@rob7lindsey our SAVR Run CIC ambassador, thank you for being part of the journey. Looking forward to getting you around the table soon too! Sushi awaits (other options available! 😂🧡)

🧡 FOLLOW @savrrun as we continue the journey!

There’s still plenty to think about and work through, but every day feels like another small step forward. Today helped us focus on where we can really add value and make a difference.

One thing we talked about is particularly personal to me: men’s mental health.

I know how hard it can be to open up. Sometimes I struggle with it myself. It’s not always about finding the words. It’s about knowing who you can trust, who you feel comfortable talking to and whether you’re ready to share what’s going on.

Running has been my way of dealing with things. My time to clear my head, my coping mechanism at times, but also a way to meet people, build friendships and feel part of something.

That’s why our strapline, BUILT BY THE RUN, means so much to me. Because so much of this really has been built by running.

But SAVR Run CIC won’t just be about running.

It’s about people. Bringing people together, building connections and creating spaces where people feel comfortable talking, without pressure or judgement.

Men’s mental health is close to my heart, but I know women face these challenges too. We’ve all got things going on that others might never see.

I certainly don’t have all the answers. I’m still figuring plenty out myself. But if being a little more open about my own experiences helps someone else, that’s a good reason to keep going.

We’ve only got one life. We might as well look out for one another.

Still lots to do, but today felt like an important step.

BUILT BY THE RUN.

@reyt_sauna and I hosted our second Sweat & Connect event on Friday.

If I’m honest, we both wondered whether anyone would turn up and enjoy networking differently as much as we do.

But when you create experiences around things you genuinely love, you attract women who share those interests too.

Thanks for joining us @pretty_gritty_women @empowerher.health.fitness @bloomgrowflow @movethroughmenopause @wildandhealing_

What started as a networking event is becoming so much more - conversations around wellbeing, sport, business, life, and the realities of being a woman building a business.

Real connections, meaningful conversations, and a reminder that networking doesn’t have to happen in a conference room.

Fancy joining us for the next one?

✨ Do more of what you enjoy, and you’ll find your people.

You’re a midlife woman who’s stopped asking for permission and started chasing what makes you feel alive. 🌊💙

Are you doing what makes you feel alive?

I’d love to hear what makes you feel alive!

I no longer chase things, I crave experiences!

One of the last things my dad said when he was dying was…….he wanted 6 more months to have the experiences he’d planned.

He never got those experiences.

This life is far too short, let go of what you think you should be doing and embrace what you want to do.

Who fancies coming to Istanbul courtesy of partnering with an amazing company?

Comment YES to find out how you could join me!

My favourite calls are from women who know they’re meant for more.

Ambitious but feeling stuck.

Entrepreneurial but not sure where to channel it.

Running a business that’s successful on paper, but still doesn’t give them the freedom they want.

I get it, because I’ve been there too.

If this sounds like you, comment CALLING and let’s have a conversation. ✨ by @glowbefore50

Watching this back, I can see exactly what I felt in that moment.

Thank you @sarahbrownnutritionaltherapy for capturing it so perfectly.

Freezing cold water, yet my body relaxed almost instantly.

Not because the water changed, but because my breathing did.

The more I learn about breathwork, the more fascinated I become by its ability to influence our nervous system, emotions, and overall state.

For years, I ran on adrenaline.

In midlife, I’m realising that what once helped me cope is no longer what helps me live life the way I want to.

Still learning, still exploring, and excited to keep learning more.

How has your breath supported you through challenging moments?
