: Michelle 🌟 A reminder that your purpose and value isn't tied to what you do for a living, no matter how much society tries to tell you that it is. Who are you outside of work? What do love, what makes you happy, what are you good at, what is it about you that brings joy to others? Each day, I try to explore these questions more and more and I'm thoroughly enjoying getting to know more about me.

:Raschell⚡I say all the time that to be a child of African heritage requires thick skin! Sis @simplysayo had me screeeeeaming with this as I realised no lies were told... the lip quiver, the reference to weight; at some point it's really just bullying 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Unfortunately, it doesn't end. I'll be married soon (Eeeeek!)so the focus has shifted to babies, apparently I'll "Soon dry up!" 😑😑😑😑 If you don't know when to laugh or nod in agreement "Soon Aunty" as you pray for patience, you won't survive.

: Michelle 🌟 Support for a 3-day weekend seems to be ramping up after a study in Iceland was deemed an "overwhelming success". It found that four day working weeks actually increased productivity and now other countries are experimenting with trials. I'm here for anything that gives us all a better work-life balance and by the sounds of it, a 3-day weekend means everybody wins!

:Raschell⚡I aim to live a life that's meaningful for me and mines, so I tend not to look at how other people live and want it for me,..well except for my cousin @badgalriri, I'd love to live her life for a day, she badd 🇧🇧😎🤪!!

But I can't help but look at this collection of stunning Nubian Queens and want to dig out my bikini's and drag my @glowgettersdiary sisters on a flight outta here 😫😫 !!!! Wouldn't you?

: Michelle 🌟 How quick is 2021 flying by?! Don't worry, this isn't a productivity post about being halfway through the year and questioning whether you've achieved the 'career goals' you set at the beginning. It's a reminder to pause, renew your energy and keep pursuing the things that matter to you - whether that's a tangible goal or a sense of peace. Let's not fall into the bad habit of ignoring self-care as the world opens up again but focus on living out the rest of the year with appreciation and gratitude. You've made it halfway, let's go get it!

: Zoe 💫 Staycation Baecation💕 A post birthday getaway to Herefordshire County and it was just what the doctor ordered!

With travel restricted I still wanted to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing time away from London! God blessed us with SUNSHINE making our adventures all the more enjoyable. Yes we forced a fire because why not 😂 but honestly if you're dabbling with the idea of going away in the UK just do it! Book the train/load up the car and 💨 by @glowgettersdiary

: Ashley 🌠 Ever feel like you need a bit of a self love boost? Sometimes the world can feel pretty heavy, draining all our positive energy we try so hard to protect. A wise (wo)man once said "surround yourself with people who build you up and not bring you down" But I'm also big believer in building ourselves up . Remember☝...Words. Are. Powerful. So try your best not to tear yourself down with words you wouldnt dare utter to someone else! ❤

Have a go saying some of these reminders regularly and see if it makes any positive changes to how you feel about yourself. I'm going try it as well I promise! Oh, and send to a friend too, you never know who might need a reminder! 🙂 by @glowgettersdiary

:Raschell⚡If it wasn't for Windrush I wouldn't be here. My father was born on the small island (if you get the chance, read 'Small Island' by Andrea Levy 📖 a good read!)of Barbados 🇧🇧 Windrush meant my Grandparents eventually made their way to England. Fast forward many moons and sunrises, my Father met my Mother, a Gambian native 🇬🇲 and POW! My brother and I were born!

"The arrival of MV Empire Windrush at the Port of Tilbury on 22 June 1948, marked a seminal moment in Britain's history and has come to represent the rich diversity of this nation."

I look over these images and feel pride to be a product of their bravery and chuckle to myself - we came off that ship, after 30 days at sea DRESSED hunty 💅🏾🙌🏾 😎 can't tell us nothing!

Please join us in wishing @glowgettersdiary's Zoe a very happy birthday 💃🏾🎉🥂🎁🎂!! Today we celebrate our 'Little Miss Sunshine' 🌞🌻 but don't let her sweet smile confuse you, our straight talking Sis does not suffer fools and we love her for it equally as much as her loving and loyal nature!

Our Gambian beauty is always there with a listening and non-judgemental ear, which we've all needed at some point 😇,one of the funniest women we know; we couldn't imagine @glowgettersdiary without her 💛!
