Our very first senior spotlight of the season is our captain, Stephanie Alvarez!
This is her 4th year spinning and her 2nd year as captain of the guard.
Positions: Rifle, Flag
When she’s not spinning, she’s reading, playing with her dogs, or performing the life functions. When she joined Green Machine her freshman year, she intended on being a flute, but Nick and Jacqui (our guard directors), recruited her during Marching 101, telling her she would be a better fit for guard, and she stuck with it.
Currently, one of her favorite songs is Happy and Sad by Kacey Musgraves and her favorite food is tacos.
Fun fact: she broke 2 fingers three weeks ago and is still spinning because she’s a “baddie”
