🚨 #NWA 🚨 1976 Tudor Submariner 9411/0 ‘Snowflake’.

Bought directly from an absolute gent and, of course, a fellow member of the #watchfam @clem2192 . To say I’m besotted would be a massive understatement. 😍 As always, off the bracelet and straight on a @phoenixstrapsltd nato for now.

The Ranger a poor Explorer substitute? I think not. Yes, it’s not finished to the same standard as a modern Rolex, but dare I say it, it’s certainly comparable to a five-digit, and in many aspects possibly better. For the price point, it offers a lot of value.

It also has a very different look and feel. The Explorer is the result of design evolution. While it has stayed very true to its original DNA, it has definitely put on its best threads as it has matured, with its polished bezel, and super glossy dial with white gold hands and indices.

The Ranger, on the other hand, remains a true tool watch. No fuss, a matte dial, a highly legible printed layout, and a rugged brushed case with a substantial crown, I’m personally glad they didn’t go with the new smaller one. So to me, while these two watches are similar in many ways, they are also very different.

I plan to keep both in my collection for the foreseeable future, although I won’t commit to how long. I do have a habit of changing watches more frequently than my underwear.

These three and a handful of straps, what more do I really need!?

An enjoyable, slightly chilly autumn bimble on the Bonnie, with the Tudor Sub on my wrist. Stunning scenery in the Goyt Valley, Peak District. Lucky to have this so close to home. 🍂☀️ #autumnwatchweek @hendersonshorology #tudorsubmariner #watchfam by @gmtzer0

A very lazy #autumnwatchweek post! If you look very carefully at the reflection in the crystal, you can just about make out a tree with very few leaves. Apologies for the complete lack of effort today! @hendersonshorology #tudorsubmariner #watchfam by @gmtzer0

Borrowed my lads shoelace of conkers for a quick #autumnwatchweek shot with the Sub 🍂 @hendersonshorology #tudorsubmariner #tudorsnowflake #tudortuesday #watchfam by @gmtzer0

’76 Tudor Submariner ‘Snowflake’ 9411/0 on an NDC strap made from Marine Nationale parachute elastic, manufactured in the original factory in France that produced it in the ’60s and ’70s.

Absolutely love this look. The blue Sub against the green strap with the yellow pinstripe is just perfect 👌

I’ve definitely got a preference for the colour blue, watches, pedal bike, motorbike and even jumper today 💙 #tudorsubmariner #watchfam by @gmtzer0

Owned for 43 days, worn for 43 days, can’t take this thing off 💙 #tudorsubmariner #tudorsnowflake #94110 #watchfam by @gmtzer0

#watchpalmsunday and SOTC. The Med Blue OP departed to fund the beloved Tudor Snowflake. Then there’s the longstanding Seiko SKX009J1, which I’ve had for donkeys’ years, an absolute mechanical G-Shock tank! My Tudor BB58, bought new in 2020, and the fabulous 36 Dune Ranger complete the collection. I’ve moved on the pieces I wasn’t wearing, and now I’m down to a solid four. Chances are the collection will grow again, most likely with Tudor, new and old. 😎 #watchfam by @gmtzer0
