🇬🇧⏩🇺🇸

The recent U.S. election made me reflect on my time coaching in the States from 2016-2019, reminding me of the core values learnt that still guide me today:

1️⃣ Player-First Always – It’s about their growth, not just the game. One of my teams lost nearly every match in the summer (Playing a year up), yet today, most of them are still playing together at the highest level in the Midwest, with one now at an MLS club.
2️⃣ Relationships Matter – Building trust with players and parents creates a shared vision and purpose.
3️⃣ Everyone’s Unique – Every player and coach needs an individualized approach to bring out their best.
4️⃣ Find Your People – Work alongside those who genuinely value you and your perspective.
5️⃣ Have Fun! – When the team enjoys the journey, they play their best.

Hopefully this come across at Pro Elite - Finchley and Arsenal because, to me, coaching isn’t a job; it’s a privilege! taken in Michigan, USA by @gnakanda

23/24 Season done ✅

1st season at @officialarsenalacademy is completed but won’t be one I’ll forget anytime soon.

To work for the club I’ve always supported is something special, made even better by the staff, players and their families!

The class of 24 is truly a special group of players! Looking forward to seeing them develop through their academy journey.
