Ğnaŵ was named this for a reason! He can split his maw open for superior hunting and howling, but he tends not to as it’s not the most comfortable experience. Luckily as the sections of the maw never fuse/rift, there isn’t scarring like where their wings protrude. It has enough scars on their face. The tongue can split down the middle, but that does require tearing and regenerating, so unless necessary he avoids it.

(You may have seen a similar post, but I’ve recolored his markings to make them more consistent) by @gnaw.bites

I know I turned Ğnaŵ into a ponysona, but I really wanted one that was truly reflective of me. So here it is! Finley Frutiger, founder of Ponyville’s aquarium! I used pieces of 5 different ponies for the hair and markings (including Sunburst & Pear Butter) as well as colors from 2 others and the body & eyes were from generic bases online. The SCRUMPTIOUS splotchy style was inspired by @alex_fictus and none of this would’ve happened without @mrsgendered dragging me back into the pony scene with their to die for #everfreeau so thanks everypuppy! Oh I can’t forget Tumblr user mintyroot for their awesome lineart color generator. I wanted Finley to be as show accurate as possible and he turned out great!

If I ever get brave enough, I might submit this MLP-ified Ğnaŵ to an AU artist and ask to be a background character. by @gnaw.bites

ĞNAŴ BEANS!!!! He’s perched on glass over the viewer, so the glass is fogged up, his beans are squarshed, and the glass has a few streaky reflections! by @gnaw.bites

There are quite a few colors over my corporal form! If anyone wants to take a shot at capturing my essence this might be helpful…

(Reuploading several pieces because I was unhappy with how pink the paw pads were. It’s supposed to be purple. I originally made Ğnaŵ with only cool colors {and brown} but he was mainly teal, with green eyes and purple paws/ears/scars. Those have drifted more pink over time and I don’t mind the ears or scars, but the paws really bothered me so I’m redoing them!) by @gnaw.bites

#shorkdesign40k

Based off me and my gf’s favorite colors (which is why I added all the subtle hearts!). The few major design changes are 5 gills (I’m a marine biologist and that’s the one huge thing that annoys me about inaccurate anatomy… they can be as vaguely shark shaped as possible as long as they have 5 gills), teeth, and paw pads. If that’s too much artistic liberty those changes can go. Thanks! by @gnaw.bites

Some high-def closeups of the subject matter, so that anyone who wants to can really analyze the heck out of everything (or just appreciate the detail work!)

This closeup featuring our antagonists(?) Bubble and Amalgam! They seem to be breaking the fourth wall, but maybe they’re looking at each other…

I loved the idea of his hat falling off and him desperately trying to catch it with his cane… I can’t tell if he caught it or not!

Ming’s discarded props… why were they cast aside when DG’s hat was kept?

Can’t speedpaint bc I use the markup tool in Apple photos to draw with, so here’s the progress. If I want to add a layer I have to screenshot and draw on top. If I add too much to a single photo it crashes so I have to screenshot to continue too. Yeah it’s a lot. No tags or hashtags so I hope yall see this too!

Render Caine’s gum texture, make Bubble emanate darkness as well as glow, all’s done except redo lines and add lost details back in (like eye shines)

Add Bubble’s glow reflecting onto Amalgam

Render Bubble, make Bubble glow

Landlord special the void remnants that couldn’t be erased, add grid/glitch to floor

Render void, erase overlap with sketch, (it crashed and there’s a bit of the void left)

Fill in and complete flat color

Block out where I want the colors of each NPC piece to fit into the Amalgam mannequin, block out all the flat colors (I come back to this photo to color pick each time for consistency as a screenshot degrades the quality), begin to fill flat colors and it crashes

A TADC fanart I made that I asked tumblr to turn into a fanfic. Everything (except the mannequin of Hard To Draw) was free handed (said mannequin was traced). I wanna see what people think is the reason why Ming, Abel, and Disappearing Guy (DG) were fused into this Amalgam, and why he and Bubble are dangling Caine over the void. I literally woke up yesterday from a dream about this and had to draw it. I hope y’all over analyze the details the way you would a canon art piece! (Because i put that much effort into them).

Tagging everyone who inspired me! (A few don’t have permissions for me to tag them so I’m try to @ them in the comments)

Fun fact the only True White in drawing is Bubble’s teeth, and conversely the only True Black are Bubble’s eyes…
