That’s a wrap!!! The last of three 964 RS Ruby red/ Sternrubin in a fresh new jacket with the best products from @axaltarefinish being @cromax_emea base coat in the solvent base Centari 6000 non activated, clear coat from @standox_emea the K9550 reduced by 5% with the 5820 reducer.

In the last shot you can appreciate the guns we used: the 5500Rp for the Standox 3100 etching primer, the 5000RP for the Cromax base, the 5000rp 1.3i for smashing on the first 2 coats of Standox k9550 and the Phaser RS 1.2i for the last fine application of clear coat. That last fine coat clear is what we will be sanding off in a week or 2.

All is left at this point is still a bunch of prep work on the loose parts including the warped front alloy RS frunk lid which we took to our alloy master magician @radboudrestoration to remove a huge dent and warped lines.

After all is done and polished, our friend Carlos from @ccsbekleding will install new A and B pillar leatherette and a new headliner and carpet set.

After that is said and done, we need to put her back together to the point @mfelsbourg can finish the tech works and install the engine so she can be enjoyed again to the fullest in Kuwait.

Sometimes GNCB gets referred to as being next level works, always nice to hear but, at least from my perspective this is just how passionate people do their work. What you see in this small clip is just daily business for us, no show car paintworks element in it for us whatsoever.

Even Diana, the ALD 993 Turbo, was, quality wise, a average daily job for us. We didn’t go to the lengths we can go on custom projects far beyond what you see here, far beyond what many in our field call perfect or even masterpieces. Of course that is something that runs into serious hrs and therefore costly business.

So for the regular work we’ll keep it within check not blowing budgets or exceeding cars market values, unless special requests are made of course. At that point we’ll unleash the OCD beast within and enjoy to the fullest.

Two of those, a special build 964 turbo black on black and a custom build for really cool folks, we have in house as we write this. Early next yr we will do a pro photo shoot on those with @houseofmillermarketing , she doesn’t know it yet so..surprise!

Polishing in the @von_schmidt_nl Meissen blue taking shape. This lady handed our asses to us in a way we never experienced before but we never shy away from a fight how big the opponent may think he is. Next week she’ll be ready for collection so the boys can rebuild her. Hope she doesn’t put up fight there as well……

Carbon fibre roof panel@from @karbonius fitted on our e46 M3. We used 3m 08115 panel bonding adhesive for the edges where the steel panel used to be spotwelded. On the roofbeams we applied 3m 08463 flexible souple foam which has 0 adhesive properties, it just expands gently without lifting effects but cancelling out future rattling. Tomorrow its fully cured and we can proceed to cut the excess foam away.

Yet another step closer to hitting the roads.

We thank @karbonius for their incredible high quality carbon composite materials, all prepeg carbon cured in a autoclave and it shows. If there are any questions or doubts don’t hesitate to reach out.

Satin green Ferrari fresh off the gun. We chose @standoxglobal K9140 satin clear coat and off course @cromaxglobal Centari 6000 activated base coat applied with @sagolaofficial 4600 HEX paintguns for this quick job last August.

This Ferrari is not to be confused with an earlier F8 project we hope to present soon as a new collaboration with ultra cool and real new friends in the UK.

So, as we got so many reactions to the Meissen Blue backdate we did I decided to post this backdate all metal build we did in a collab 3 yrs ago in a own formula blue sitting between Coppaforio and Gulf blue and lighter than the Meissen blue we just did. Why post it now and not sooner? A thing called NDA and a big stack of cash😜 ( could’ve posted it without disclosing clients as intellectual property of vid and pics is a thing in NL but respecting your collab at all times is just common courtesy) prevented me to posting this and seeing the contractor is no longer in business here we are.

Base coat as usual Axalta Cromax Centari 6000, clear coat Standox Extreme clear coat as it was dead winter when we painted it.

Long journey but well worth it. Started 3 yrs ago with the purchase in France, after that she got on the waiting list, finally came in last year. What started as a simple paintjob soon evolved into full suspension overhaul with 100% original RS components, interior reverb light edition keeping the patina in the leather, replacing the inserts filling and light coloring of faded sections, carpet was partially replaced and brushed old to tie in with the rest of the fabrics thus maintaining the original Carrera RS script on the bulkhead fabric.

Engine needed an top end rebuild as in the past it was done on the fly method so together with our good friend Porsche mechanic extraordinaire Ronald Paul, Gio did his first Porsche RS engine in house, all under the 40+ yrs supervision of El Gran Ronaldo!

Car drives like a dream, you completely forget you’re driving a 34 year old car. The engine pulls very strong, gearbox shifts like butter, brakes like it wants to break your neck and handles…o man it handles soooo good!!! We’ve driven quite the selection of RS and Gt3’s but this one takes the cake. Soon it will go to Monaco join the rest of the collection and will be enjoyed hopefully in good health.

Big thanks to all involved and contributors to a piece of this cars history, onwards we go to make more memories.

Tremendous clean up with dry ice by Ayden Dean from @dryicespecialties_nl . This E39 is not a car we wanted to water-blast completely as the aim was to do a in depth resto/mod preserving the original underbody coating and the under the hood finish as much as possible.

Sry ice blasting gave us exactly what we were looking for: no more grease, oil residues, baked on dirt and other road grime from 26yrs of German and Swedish roads use, all gone in a blink of an eye. We can now address all issues revealed and make it a almost 0km e39 540i. After our holidays we will set up the body on a rotisserie and start with the e39 M5. Same story on that one but with a 9000km base car….

@dryicespecialties_nl in house cleaning the underbody of the 540 project. Its ultra loud but the difference after a few dry ice passes is beautiful. This saves us and the clients so much time and maintaining the original look as well. It also helps identify any issues like starting rust and/or coating issue you would be able to see by simply power washing the underbody. Next up will be wheelhouses and engine bay.

Take 2…unfortunately something went wrong with the carbon substrate and it pulled pinholes across the quarters. So, repaint color wise there and reclear the whole lot to not get any masking lines. Not our fault and mo need to point fingers elsewhere just fix and be done. Bumpers 1st run and so far so good.
