Schon wieder hingerichtet.

Alireza Sepahi (24) und Alireza Raeisi (21) wurden am 5. Oktober 2026 im Dastgerd-Gefängnis in Isfahan hingerichtet. Beide waren Angeklagte im Fall Meydan-e Alikhani im Zusammenhang mit den landesweiten Protesten im Januar 2026.

Nach Angaben von Sepahis Anwalt hatte der Oberste Gerichtshof einer Wiederaufnahme seines Verfahrens zugestimmt. Weniger als 48 Stunden später wurde diese jedoch ohne Anhörung abgelehnt.

Alireza Sepahi und Mahshad Kashani heirateten während seiner Haft – in der Hoffnung, sich dadurch wenigstens noch einmal sehen zu können. Doch dazu kam es nicht. Am 5. Oktober wurde Alireza hingerichtet.

Internet Access for the People of Iran:
From Proposal to a Commitment to Follow Up

A concrete proposal at the GNIS conference. A clear promise to follow up.

During the second panel of the GNIS conference, Dr. Babak Rezaee raised a question: when internet access is cut off in Iran, why not use European satellite capabilities, including Eutelsat, to help people in Iran get online?

Highlighting the risk of repression during internet blackouts, he proposed that Europe establish a legal framework to enable the use of these capabilities during shutdowns.

Tomáš Zdechovský welcomed the proposal and said he would raise it in his upcoming meetings with European officials.

This exchange marked an important outcome of the GNIS conference: a concrete proposal to support the people of Iran and a commitment to pursue it at the European political level.

از پیشنهاد تا تعهد به پیگیری

یک پیشنهاد مشخص در کنفرانس GNIS، یک قول مشخص برای پیگیری.

در پنل دوم کنفرانس GNIS، دکتر بابک رضایی پرسشی مطرح کرد: وقتی اینترنت در ایران قطع می‌شود، چرا از ظرفیت‌های ماهواره‌ای اروپا، از جمله یوتل‌ست (Eutelsat)، برای دسترسی مردم ایران به اینترنت استفاده نشود؟

او با اشاره به خطر سرکوب در خاموشی اینترنت، پیشنهاد کرد اروپا چارچوبی قانونی برای به‌کارگیری این ظرفیت‌ها در زمان قطع اینترنت فراهم کند.

توماس از این پیشنهاد استقبال کرد و گفت موضوع را در دیدارهای پیشِ روی خود با مقام‌های اروپایی مطرح خواهد کرد.

این گفت‌وگو یکی از خروجی‌های مهم کنفرانس GNIS بود: طرح یک راهکار مشخص برای مردم ایران و گرفتن قول پیگیری آن در سطح سیاسی اروپا.

Iran beyond the Islamic Republic: new opportunities for economic cooperation with Europe.

In his video message to Members of the European Parliament, Dr. Reza Arab, Political Advisor to the Iran Prosperity Project (IPP), highlighted the economic opportunities that a post-Islamic Republic Iran would offer Europe. He also recalled Europe’s role in facilitating Khomeini’s return to Iran on what he described as a VIP flight.
