Hong Kong feels like freedom to me. The people here carry a sense of ease, and when I‘m here, I feel I can do whatever I set my mind to.

.

I first came last year. Korea is so close that Hong Kong had only ever existed for me on film screens. Being here in person was something else: kind people, an open atmosphere, new faces every day. Every encounter became experience, every experience something to learn from.

.

Back home I work as a model and an actor — and the reason I chose modelling is the same reason I came here: to experience as much as I can. This work lets me meet people from everywhere, take my career into the world, and collect stories worth sharing.

.

The path wasn’t straight. At university I studied air traffic management — then the pandemic arrived and the jobs disappeared. So I committed fully to modelling, and now I‘m working towards acting too. When it comes to film, no tragedies for me. Happy endings only — the kind that send an audience out with more energy than they came in with.

.

If there’s one principle I live by: do what you want, and don‘t let the present slip past. It sounds hard because it is hard — but try, with everything you have, for the life you want.

.

People ask if I‘m happy. Honestly, I don’t always know. There are sad days, stretches of melancholy. But happiness starts with deciding you are happy — and by that measure, right now, I am. I‘m in a city I love, doing work I love, putting my thoughts out into the world.

.

None of it is easy. What I have is the conviction that effort makes anything possible. If someone watches me grow and thinks — if he kept going, maybe I can too — that’s the influence I want to have. That‘s the dream, and it’s how I‘m trying to live.

.

None of it would mean much without the people behind me. My younger brother and I were raised by our grandparents, and our whole family has pushed me to chase what I want. For them, I give everything I have — to being good at what I do, and to being good, full stop.
